Friday the 13th is my lucky day

I’m a sucker for some funky antlers. Plus any buck with a bow is a feat for me. I’ll take 100 more like this guy if it meant ever killing a big buck again.

    2020 NOVA/Central Virginia meet'n PICS ARE POSTED!

Man, I can't believe I missed this, I drive by there everyday on my commute to work. Unfortunately I was getting all prepped to run up to Alaska for a few weeks to chase bears. Any one down to do a mid-season redo lol? Looks like it was a good time.

Friday the 13th is my lucky day

I went out on Friday the 13th for a last chance bow sit before modern gun season here in Virginia. I've been out to the piece of public I always hunt but hadn't really seen anything yet this year. I didn't get there to the woods until about 8 am and my primary parking spot was taken. I drove on...

Modification to a hang on stand

That is the exact hang on stand that I have. I’m going to start working on making mine into that next week. I think that will do exactly what I want it to do.

Modification to a hang on stand

I have climbing sticks and a new saddle but no platform yet. I spent all my money on an Alaska Bear hunt for September so I have to wait for a bit before wife is willing to listen to me spend more money on hunting stuff. I’m hoping I can get through one season with a platform and the seat...

Modification to a hang on stand

This coming season will be my first hunting from a saddle. I’ve looked through the threads looking to see if I could find any info on modifying a hang on stand for a platform. I’m fairly budget minded and would rather mod and repurpose my Ameristep hang on before purchasing a dedicated saddle...

    DIY Deer Cart

I’m going to try a jogging stroller that I got on Craigslist. It has bigger tires and can support plenty of weight.

What part of Arkansas? That's where I'm from and grew up there until I joined the Army.

    Muddy Aerolite climbing sticks

I just got some of these yesterday for a steal, $70 brand new. I wanted Hawk Helium’s but they were out of stock. I haven’t even taken these out of the box yet but I’m excited to get them out and try them.

Thanks guys. I think I've been over thinking it. I have a few spools to play with and get it down. I'll keep digging around but no one near me sells anything like this so I'll have to order a kit online I think.

Thanks. I'm actually quite comfortable climbing and hanging thanks to the Army. I've hung out of helicopters with just a lanyard on my belt. The saddle feels way more secure than that ever could. But yes, I intend to practice as much as I can as soon as I can get some climbing sticks.

Hey all, I'm a new member here and have been searching for some eye splicing resources but didn't see what I was looking for. I just picked up a used saddle from a buddy and need to outfit it with all the necessary bits before I can start practicing. I have a bunch of rolls of climbing rope...

Thank you. I've been binge consuming as much youtube as I can. I was turkey hunting with my buddy and he tole me to try the saddle on our lunch break just for grins and I was immediately sold. I can't wait to get in the woods with it and see how it does.

Hey everyone. I'm new here, in the Army, and stationed in Northern Virginia. I just picked up a used TETHRD from a buddy last week. I'm here looking for as much info as I can find on what setup I think is going to work best for me. I've never hunted out of a a saddle yet but I really dig the...
