I had no idea that as part of the patent deal, Cruzr had their Seeker manufactured by the same source as Tethrd predator. Interesting...

"The official saddle hunting backpack thread"

This is awesome. [emoji108] I just picked up an Exo last month. Excited to use it. What is the elastic strap you're using to hd everything in? Sent from my SM-N976U using Tapatalk

    Anyone gotten an overwatch yet?

Thank you for providing all of that info, @St.CroixArcher. I knew your response was only going to get me that much more jazzed for my Transformer. I'll put a review here once it comes in the mail. Sent from my SM-N976U using Tapatalk

LOL. Well, technically, you guys do sell sewn eye predator tethers! :) I do think a lot of us, especially those newer to saddle hunting, have a lot of interest in the strength of ropes and other gear and the positives and negatives of weight vs strength, dyneema vs trad sheathed rope, etc...

I'd like to see a comparison of sewn eyes, spliced eyes, knotted from a strength perspective. I'd also like to see some conversations about strength comparison of different prusik hitches. For example, Sterling did a good one...

    New saddle hunter

If you do all day sits and like to be super comfortable with more stuff in a large pack, invest in a roll-n-lock and 25 feet of sterling oplux for a hoist. It makes life SO easy. And you can connect it straight to your tether after you're situated and ready to pull your gear up. Much better for...

    Anyone gotten an overwatch yet?

If you don't mind, I'd be interested what was different between the latitude method and the transformer as far as your use and feel of each. I'm in the queue for my Transformer and waiting on pins and needles. Sent from my SM-N976U using Tapatalk

    Tethrd One Climbing Sticks

If Tethrd was smart (and I'm not claiming they're not), they would: - build prototype sticks very similar to their competitors with the same grade aluminum/carbon fiber and bolts as the real thing - go to a testing facility - bring the "competitor sticks" and a Tethrd One stick - go through...

    Tethrd One Climbing Sticks

Wow. 300lbs seems low. I'm no roll pin expert, so if I'm wrong, someone please disabuse me of any disinformation. https://www.huyett.com/products/fasteners/pins/spring-pins/spp-500-5500 But this pin has a stated double shear strength of 27,100 lbs. Granted, double shear is more than just...

    Tethrd One Climbing Sticks

Dude, I have my own complaints about the sticks, but you are all over the place with this thread. If you feel so endangered, you really do need to return them now. This is not good for your mental health. Sent from my SM-N976U using Tapatalk

    Tethrd One Climbing Sticks

Got to put mine to the test today with all of my final modifications made to the sticks. My review: The Good: Weight - The light weight is truly great. I hang them from a kydex clip attached to my saddle and the feel is amazing. Noise - Once stealth stripped, there was no noise. Less than...

    Tethrd One Climbing Sticks

Having to replace my own pins bothered me. I appreciate that they sent replacements, but the steps were so frustrating to try to put together with the original pins....how could they not have known that this would be a big deal? But the most annoying thing to me was that every had no offering...

    Tethrd One Climbing Sticks

Drill through them like I did. I don't know why they didn't recommend this method as a backup. They glued the hell out of these pins and there is no way for a punch to make it through some of them. Sent from my SM-N976U using Tapatalk

    Tethrd One Climbing Sticks

I had to use a 3/16 drill bit to drill through the pins, and that made it really easy. I tried to use a punch as directed before thinking of that idea and it was miserable and an abject failure. By the way, I only replaced the top pins because of how frustrating it was. Bottom ones are exactly...
