    Who climbs with their bow?

I climb with the Sitka backpack on and my bow strapped to my backpack. I like not having to fiddle at the base of the tree. I carry my one-stick in, walk up to the tree, and start climbing.

    SITKA CARGO BOX

I bought it online without looking at it in person first. I was surprised that it’s pretty much the same as the tool bucket, but with additional cargo pockets on the sides and the ability to put your stand between you and the bag. The actual enterior space is the same as the tool bucket. I have...

Dumb question - cutting arrows - using disc in miter saw?

I’m going to cut my own carbon arrow for a compound bow. Would it be dumb to put an abrasive cut off disc in my miter saw? I’d be easy to make the cuts square and consistent length. I already have a saw and can get the disc for $5… The real arrow saws are the same thing, only smaller, right?

Use a clove hitch to attach quick link triangle to SRT rope?

Experimenting with SRT and rappelling. From zero height. Do I use a clove hitch to attach the quick link triangle to the rope? Another other knots I should be thinking of? I’ll be using a Mad Rock Safeguard. I’ve used WE steps to get up and down with the use of linesman and tether thus far...

    Help! Tired of Freezing Hands!

Hoosier here too. I use this rechargable from Amazon. $37. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GQ34XWW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I use some light, fingerless gloves with this. I figure fancy gloves cost a lot more, but this works awesome. And reusable. Lasts my whole hunt.

New from Indianapolis. Would provide photography in exchange for mentoring.

I shot a bow as a kid, and loved it, but never hunted with it. My oldest son has become quite the outdoorsman (12 years old). He fishes all the time and wanted to start hunting. Last year I took him to some DNR Learn-to-Hunt events and we did squirrel and rabbit--both with success! That was a...
