    2tc vs one sticking

That depends on your 2tc. While you CAN 2tc with 1/8 Amsteel like some of the OGs, I would not suggest it. There is a balance between compact and comfort, you're right about the legality of bolts but if that was not an issue, then I still think a bolts and drill kit is more compact then a 2tc...

    2tc vs one sticking

I respectfully disagree with the 2 points you made about mobilization and compactness. If the ultimate goal is mobilization, then we shouldn't be in the tree at all. Sit your butt on the ground and see where the hunts takes you. In regards to compactness, I think a bolts and drill kit is more...

    2tc vs one sticking

I have never learned how to ride a bike actually! Still don't. We were poor and parent gave me the option of a bike or skateboard and I picked what was cool at that time. Was able to teach my son to ride his bike by winging it with positive motivation! But I think some of you 2tc advocates are...

For trad, how high is too high for good shooting angle?

It was definitely a lot easier with my 54AMO bow to take those closer shot under 5 ft. I tried it with my 68AMO and could not do it. Planning to use a 58AMO next season.

    2tc vs one sticking

I actually think 1 sticking is slowly losing steams. Due to the fact that sticks are getting lighter and lighter. A average one stick + rappel rope equal to the weight of high end sticks and platform. Packability is close now too to dedicated packs that carry multiple stick pretty well. I have...

For trad, how high is too high for good shooting angle?

Full disclosure, I honestly am too new to give feedback about which is better in regards to elevated or ground hunt. But I know my own personal preference, and that is to be as high as I can. I look for trees that can get me to 25+ ft simple because I love being up in the tree and the view is...

Opinions on a secondary saddle for early season

The Ape Outdoor Pinoeer is great. Its going to be my early season saddle. I also have a standard and mini Dryad for those longer sit in the rut.

Key bridge collapse, Marylanders check in!

Most of my co-workers made it to work on time or just a little late, but then most left a little earlier then usual just in case. Seem like the authority planned out the detours really well. That and GPS helped a lot. So for everyday commuters it doesn't seem to take a big hit as long as they...

Can we start a communal turkey feathers collection/market thread?

As long as you're passed the return dates and she is stuck with you. Who cares.

Key bridge collapse, Marylanders check in!

Yeah, it happened around 1 AM so very little traffic, most of the people that were on the bridge was a construction crew that was working on the potholes apparently. Its a sad day, 5-6 of the crew who fell into the water are still unaccounted for. The ship's crew reported power lost and that...

Key bridge collapse, Marylanders check in!

Half of my office use that bridge to get to work. Seem it's going to suck for awhile. But bigger issue is the port closure. Look out if you're plan to order anything from oversea.

Can we start a communal turkey feathers collection/market thread?

Not sure if an effort has already been made. But I'm interested in acquiring turkey feathers. But I don't hunt turkey due to time, or lack of them anyway. But I know a few of you all do. So who here turkey hunt but have no use for the feathers? Anyone interested in making a few (very few in my...

    Athens Archery Closing Down

I think it was just the final nail on the coffin. Some of the comments on AT made it seem like business was not doing well overall either way. Which I can see, I hear some more vocal supports from the community but that might not equal to $$$ in the bank account.

    Athens Archery Closing Down

I can see that point and its very valid. Its like insider trading where you don't want dealers trying to unload stocks before the value nose dive. But that's going to happen regardless. Athens bows are going to be discounted, but dealers are going to have PARTS that they can't move.

    Athens Archery Closing Down

There was a lot of hates towards Bowtech during the initial reactions. But once people let the emotion calm down, most are siding with Bowtech. The whole things was more complicated then big company picking on the little guy. That people are letting recent Bowtech actions affecting their...

    Is this good enough?

I should say depend on your draw length and how short you're comfortable with arrow length. There is a lot of way people do things. Some like as long an arrow as possible. Some like using the tip as a trigger to release, like they use the transition of the arrow to the insert/point as a...

You think I'm joking. I just helped my father in law put a roof from a golf cart over his favorite tree stand.

    Is this good enough?

If you want to shoot 225-275 grains. I suggest 500 spines. Get the front weight you want then cut 1/2 at a time from the back until it straight. @GCTerpfan like Blemished Gold Tip shafts. They are not bad for $70 a dozen. Or be patience and wait for campfire to discount arrows once a while...
