    I have found success avoiding all those branches by using the doubled stationary rope technique. I send the throwball up and over a limb or through a tree crotch.     GAIA GPS Map Layers?

    I use the USGS topo (old school topo map mostly from 70s) it’s super detailed with trails , old RR GRADE, and other nice details. I also use “satellite with labels” added on top to see details laid over the topo lines. I use “private land” also. Gaia is the best, I think it’s better then onX

    Hunting GPS?

    I use Gaia GPS. Paid premium version, like $50 a year and totally worth it. Blows onX out of the water . Better map packs. USGS ultra high detail topos and tons of sat maps . Not a hunting app more for other outdoor folks but works great
