    The post is 11.25" and the hole for the platform is 2.25" off the bottom. Using a seat, your platform location would be different since I think how it would lock to the tree and cam would be different, but I could be wrong.

Then took a jigsaw and connected the dots, leaving the line I had drawn to be slowly removed with 1/4" aluminum...

    Gave building a platform a shot. Pretty happy with the results. 11.5"x13" wide and 3 lbs 5 oz and packs nice and flat. Was hoping to get under 3 lbs, but just couldnt get there without sacrificing too much. Now just needs some paint.
