Whats up with the 'Sladder Climbing system"?

After reading all twelve pages, and watching all the YT videos, my curiosity has been peaked. I’d really like to see someone other than the owner in a video using the thing.

    Mystery ranch popup size

Is it big enough to pack an outerwear jacket and has pockets for “some” gear?

    How many sticks?

I run 5. Bottom one has an aider. I’m not as flexible or agile as I once was.

Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

I don’t think it’s an epidemic yet for them, otherwise I’m sure we would hear about in this forum. They replaced it fast, no issues there. I didn’t buy the sticks all at once, but they were all new from Tethrd, so maybe they are just having issues with certain production runs? For now, I’m...

Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

Sooooo, I had one of my five steps start to wobble/squeak. I emailed Tethrd. They had a stealth stripped replacement on the way in one business day. The one thing I did notice though, the stick that developed the problem was my 4th stick in my climb. I’m on that one the most amount of time...

Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

I’m with you. And I personally would not care if the weight of the stick increases.

    Air Rifle for squirrels

I need to thin down the squirrels after deer season goes out in a few places I like to hunt and around my house. What’s a good air rifle to help me achieve this task? My budget will probably be 300.00 tops. Just looking for accurate and effective.

Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

I have about 20 climbs on my set so far this year. Working fine, as they should. My only suggestion, and I realize this may be blasphemous on here, is they could make the steps slightly larger. I would be willing to trade a few ounces for a bit more step. Now, I’m my situation, I’m only going...

    Multiple sticks and repelling

You just have to find what works for you. Some people will prefer one method over the other. I personally am at the same point. Even if it decide to to climb down with my LB, I’m still packing a rappel, figure 8 and auto block just in case. Cheap insurance

    What’s your arrow/broadhead setup ?

    Upcoming season goals

My goal is to shoot a couple big does on one property that has too many deer. Next goal, harvest a nice mature buck. I am in a similar situation with hunting land. I was accepted into a new club this year. So I have another 1000 acres available to hunt. I will put some time and learn that...

If you were going to invest in new arrows…

You are correct. I could/should have bought more. my life is basically making sure the wife and kid are happy, then shooting my bow/hunting. So sometimes it’s fun to try out a new arrow when the wife/kid are straight. Lol.

If you were going to invest in new arrows…

Mainly I was just fishing for opinions and wanting to make sure I had not overlooked any good potential arrows. It’s been a while since I had paid any attention to the arrow market.

If you were going to invest in new arrows…

Been shooting CE Maxima XRZ. Fine arrows. No issues, except seems like they are being discontinued. Hunt style is 30 yards shots from a saddle. Nothing out West. What’s a quality arrow I should look into to switch over once my XRZ supply has diminished?

    Virgina DWR

I have often heard, but I am without direct experience thank goodness, the GW here in VA have a lot more “leeway” than LEO. But then again, I guess this is the basis for the lawsuit, to force a ruling on what is and isn’t acceptable.

    Virgina DWR

It’s a pretty slippery slope on either side. What is really needed is some rulings on what is, and is not allowed. I’m not sure I like the idea of GW able to enter my property, and take personal property without a warrant.

Sell me on merino wool base layer

For me, socks are thinsulate/wool blend. I use good Merino bottoms and tops for a base layer. I like the Merino so much, I have some pieces I just wear as normal clothing around the house.

    DIY Licking Branch

You prefer the scrape to the branch? Or are you saying to combine the branch with a mock scrape?

    DIY Licking Branch

Anyone set up a DIY licking branch to get an inventory of bucks? I’ve tried in the past, at best I seem to just get sporadic attention from the deer. Any tips to increase the effectiveness? I typically use a native vine for the branch, and a pre orbital scent.

Delaware public land trail camera ban

Trail cams, if used for intelligence gathering purposes, may, and I repeat “may” help you lock down a bucks areas a little better. Say it makes the average hunter 5-8% more efficient at killing deer. Here in VA, it takes roughly 12 weeks to harvest 200,000 to 220,000 deer. If you are 5-8% more...
