Pacseat mods: Putting the 'pack' in Pacseat, & other things

Yep, it hits it and clanks a bit. I bought a set of these, but haven't installed it yet on my seat. I have used it on my backpack though. https://www.creativeoutdoorsmt.com/products/montana-bow-sling-combo-package Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

    STERLING C-IV at OpticsPlanet

Might have to use a split tail for drt. It's stiff rope. https://www.newyorksaddlehunter.com/product-page/split-tail-g-spliced-8mm I use it for SRT. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

    Blade sharpening...WOW

I got one of these on sale a couple years ago. I haven't tried it yet, but I wear the belt all the time. Even a hook sharpener! It lives on my hunting pants and doesn't come off unless I wash them. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

random idea for guys that sew: make better boot blankets

Yep, they were less last year. Price increases. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

random idea for guys that sew: make better boot blankets

https://bootsuits.com/ These look interesting. They were out of stock last year when I was looking, so no experience with them. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

    gearhead archery

They are great. I used to keep my quiver on my b24. Quiver on left as a right hand shooter, and right handed rest, and left handed sight. The box construction lets you balance it out. The only reason I sold it is I have eye problems, and needed a scope(switching to a crossbow). Glaucoma sucks...

    Stick advice wanted

I've used skeletor stick, muddy sticks, and novix doubles. I liked the muddy best for comfort, but they are heavy. I would look for whichever is cheaper. https://ads.midwayusa.com/product/101780431 Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

    Killdeer

I tried SRT with just the harness before, I had the regular and not the upgrade leg straps. Not the most comfortable thing. I was always scared that I would loose the leg straps as they are can be detached. I am looking hard at this as an alternative...

    Waldrop Pac Seat- Which one?

You can prop it up by leaning against a tree, but it's not as easy as the taller seat. The taller seat straddles roots better. I have had both. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

    Waldrop Pac Seat- Which one?

Crossbow hunting with the turkey seat. I can rest my arms on my knees for frontal shots. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

    Why don't yall 2TC?

I have the amsteel kit from Jerry. It sticks to the bark a bit, but packs down into a nice package. I sit on the ground first and climb trees second so I was interested in the smallest profile. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

Modifications to First Gen JX3 Hybrid

Following this thread. With my generation 1 I feel like I am tipping over backwards all the time. I think removing the mesh from the back of the pack frame would really help that out quite a bit. I think the load lifters would help also. It might be just my body style, but that bugger does not...

    New guy from TX

Welcome! Make sure to check out the saddle hunters map to see if anyone is near you to try out gear! I just moved from Wisconsin to Galveston last month. Really messed up my deer season. Now I am going to use this season to calibrate. Good luck this year! Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk

    DRT Saddle Climbing

I forgot to add, I use a split tail for drt, so no knot tying at the tree, just 2 tight eyes to the carbineer. https://www.newyorksaddlehunter.com/product-page/split-tail-g-spliced-8mm I use 9.5mm Sterling superstatic 2 as my climbing rope. That way I can also SRT on the same rope. If I was...

    DRT Saddle Climbing

For me, DRT is less effort to climb. It's my first choice if I have a preset. After that, 2TC, then one stick, then srt, then dsrt, then wild edge steps, then sticks. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
