    Best ratchet strap for ROS

I like an ocb. Rachet straps are noisy and bulky and heavy.

    Licking branch tree fell over

Is the adjacent tree the same species as the original licking branch?

    Serrated broadheads?

At that price I should figure out how to make some and start my own arrowhead company. But really, those cheap magnus work just fine.

    Serrated broadheads?

I’ve used the serrated magnus to great effect, but they have sharpened serrations as opposed to those square channels on the bishops. I’d love to see them both fired into a ballistic dummy. Intuitively the square edges would cause more bleeding but would cut through bone as well. But that’s...

Can we start a communal turkey feathers collection/market thread?

Fermentation happens after all that has passed - and that’s intoxicating.

Can we start a communal turkey feathers collection/market thread?

Don’t forget the sell by date, use by date and expiration date - all of which happen long after the return period.

    2tc vs one sticking

I wonder if there’s any demographic correlations with preference for 2tc vs one stick. Body type, age, terrain, etc…

    DOG CONTROL

It seems to me that even if there is no leash law it’s likely a dog is expected to be “under reasonable control.” And I’m hard pressed to imagine any state that allows dogs to harass and kill wildlife outside the context of a controlled hunting situation with human oversight.

    2tc vs one sticking

Agreed with the above. Any basic climbing kit already has all the elements for a 2tc, to the best of my knowledge. And if it ain’t profitable it doesn’t get anywhere near the level of exposure. A basic fact that should make all of us re evaluate the content we see on social media. Sponsored...

    DOG CONTROL

If this was my neighborhood I’d try and remain neutral with my neighbor so that they’d continue giving me information and to maintain a civil relationship. Dealing with neighborhood conflicts personally rarely works out for the best, UNLESS you already have a mutual respect and think you are all...

Opinions on a secondary saddle for early season

yes one of our members on the forum is the maker behind Wood Hunting Saddles. My understanding is that Ape Canyon will be making his design. Perhaps Mr Wood will chime in.

    2tc vs one sticking

Seems like on this forum 2tc has at least as much popularity and perhaps more than one sticking.

For trad, how high is too high for good shooting angle?

I don’t really have enough experience with trad in the saddle to give a great answer. However I did once hunt from a massive oak with my recurve and had a pretty substantial learning experience. I first attempted to set up at about 20 feet, but the tree circumference was too much for the strap...

What are drone regulations in your neck of woods?

As I understand it, my state - Massachusetts, like many states, doesn’t have clear boundaries around drone use for hunting purposes. I’ve read some of the hunting regs and I would interpret the law as not supportive of drone use. However the legislators were unaware of drones when the wording...

How to invent stuff if you're not a maker-person

@elk yinzer What exactly do you hope to do with this concept of yours? Are you hoping to create and sell a product? Develop a product and sell the patent to company that will produce it? Something else?

Post season scouting, How's it going?

You may want to verify that it has legally become private land. This wouldn’t be the first time that someone has decided to claim a great spot on public by falsely posting it. I don’t often hear of small parcels of publicly owned property being sold off. Is there road frontage on this piece?

How to invent stuff if you're not a maker-person

You may need to become a maker type person. Hiring others to do the work of developing the physical object for you is fraught with challenges. The prototype development process often requires numerous renditions before achieving satisfactory outcomes. If you’re paying someone to do that you’ll...
