    RDA 1 stick

Sounds like solid advice. When im running behind or rushing to beat first light, i usually abandon my climb and revert back to sitting on the ground with a good vantage point. Better to sit down and relax than stress my hunt into an unenjoyable slog.

    RDA 1 stick

Thanks! I keep checking the site for shipping updates. Nothing yet. I have never one sticked but I think I will like it. The cam cleat will eliminate a ton of time and fiddle factor from my current set up of trucker hitching 4 daisy chains on my way up.

Off season- Just curious what do most of you do between Deer seasons??

I spend my time studying maps and scouting. Think my wife will scream if I show her one more potential hunt site with my detailed plans to set up for success. Then of course boots on the ground to confirm what my recon has suggested. I try to get in at least 8 hours a week in the woods.

    Pods

If the animal dies, the metabolizing process stops. Any medication left in blood or tissues remains there. Cant give ya definitive answer on how long it would take the deer to metabolize. It is broken down by cholinesterase in the animals liver. Not sure what a deers normal serum cholinesterase...

    Pods

I do know that none were processed that day and in the freezer by the end of week. If they were eaten, it would be comparing apples to oranges. These animals had time to metabolize the anectine prior to being processed if they did end up as supper.

I said that I use anectine regularly. I have seen used on animals. A licensed veterinary doctor administered the medication. I simply performed airway procedures on the animals. I do not use anectine on animals other than humans. I have heard of animals consuming anectine orally with no effect…...

Im not sure what concentrations of powder folks would be using. Active ingredient in the amount of powder. It will pick some up in the blood. Just pointing out that powder is not the optimal delivery method. To get a required mg/kg youd have to ask a vet or wildlife biologist im sure.

    Pods

You sure seem to have a real desire for pods to be the next best thing. I hope you find what youre looking for because obviously I cant give it to you. If ya have that much problem with deer running off, take some time this off season and practice up…. or are you saying all the people who make...

Yes my experience is at least weekly and spanning over a quarter of a century. Sometimes 2-3 times in a day. I use multiple different paralytics, with succinyl choline (anectine) being the first line. The mechanism of action is the main problem with the tales of paralyzing a deer in a hunting...

    Pods

anectine is in powder form and reconstituted with sterile water to administer. From the stuff ive read im getting the gist its still in powder form in these pods. A lot of folks saying their way works is not new in hunting world. Sometimes is does, sometimes it doesnt. Hell I may be surprised...

    Pods

Lol ive not seen a one. I have witnessed it given to many mammals. Im not a bleeding heart that is trying to stop all suffering of game animals. I dont oppose something that stops a deer quickly. We shoot an animal it suffers. Thats hunting. My opinion is that blood leaving a wound carries...

    Pods

I hadnt thought of that aspect but it could have some folks go down that thought process. Long story short, shooting into a deer versus putting directly into a vein, the onset of action is going to be extended if not non existent. Pods are gimmicky at best.
