    Minimalist Flexible Boot Thread

Yes, I have had two pair and beat the living crap out of them and they can still take more. They are very minimalist. Very thin sole, and insulation. As they've worn out I've gotten away from them merely because I am finding a bit thicker sole is advantageous.

    Minimalist Flexible Boot Thread

The Altras did not continue to deteriorate, so I didn't address it. I did not like the BOAs on these but I changed to a cord lock, like so: Yeah the sock shoes are those goofy looking ones with rubber soles on them. There are several brans that all seem about the same.

    Minimalist Flexible Boot Thread

Quick update: The Altras worked great as a whitetail hunting shoe. I found them great for hiking into spots and then the thicker soles (thicker than I normally run) offered a bit more warmth. The sock shoes were in fact amazing for stalking. Even if the ground is a little wet these guys were...

    Carrying sticks in...

I do not have any of the products in the picture but it is how I run with my fanny pack, platform and sticks

Best, lightest, easiest to use climbing stick?

I don't have a lot of practice with the munter hitch, so how do you stop to take off a step and then continue your descent?

Best, lightest, easiest to use climbing stick?

I would also find that climb down sketchy. The rappel down would be easier and safer but I disagree that it's all pros. Buying the gear, learning how to rappel safely and extra gear weight are not trivial. Have you considered WE steps with a knaider? That is my preferred method with WE steps...

    Doyles gear hoist attachment?

PSA: pull a bunch of string out and tie a knot before taking the hook off so you don’t lose the string inside the hoist. I like it in a pouch on my saddle. I have it in a cheap molle pouch that I made a hole in. It is similar to what EWO and CGM offer. Although mine has extra space where I can...

    Cva wolf Muzzleloader

For what it is worth I am ising Winchester triple se7en 209 primers with no sticking issues. Also did your Wolf come with a soft case and some goodies in it? Mine had the primer extractor in there.

    Cva wolf Muzzleloader

Wait is 2nd option the rifle primer or the spare breech plug? I have the CVA Wolf but haven’t experienced this particular issue. I did have to replace the firing pin assembly because it got fouled up and jammed. I do like the Wolf though.

    Thumb Release Question

Bow fit and consistent anchor trumps a little gain in speed for me. I went to a thumb release following the lessons of John Dudley, starting with a tension release. So I suppose what I am saying is go with what gets you better shot placement and look for speed gains elsewhere.

    Primal vs wild edge?

The rope is nice because it is light and metal free. It is easy to tie once you get used to it. A traditional climbing stick strap can be used and the benefit is fine tuning the tension. It might be slightly faster too. I might have posted about this a while back....
