As odd as it sounds, my system actually streamlined and I dropped weight and bulk going to a .5 and saddle vs what I was doing just saddle hunting. Admittedly I could probably been a whole lot more thrifty with my saddle load out but it just didn't work out that way.

Thats not a fear for me because the only fishing I'm doing is when water is still in its liquid state. ;-)

HFAS, USA Pro, etc - issues?

When I am hanging my Fix with a USAPro, I keep the amsteel level around the tree, Fix partially opened and tighten it that way as tight as I can get it. When I finish opening the platform it’s rock solid. It’s so tight, that if I attempted to hang it without the platform partially opened I...

    My challenge to you

That’s pretty much been my mindset this year, I have what I need. But I did break down and buy that new Tethrd Cam Cradle because I have been missing that way of holding my bow in ready position for quite a few years. Also, I have spent way too much on some high end pistols lately so not much...

I have the Pro version and it’s just simple to set and solid. Nothing at all wrong with the PSH or a truckers hitch. I have just come to prefer the USA-P.

I have both and prefer the USA. If no one else has pics I will go dig out my psh after work.

I don't hold my bow either, it only comes off the hook when I see deer approaching. But I have had times when deer have come in and stayed for a long time and I'm stuck holding. It really shines then!

If you have deer in close there is nothing like it as far as having your bow at the near ready without having to hold the weight of it.

I used to have something like this years ago made from neoprene and it was a great help. Problem eventually became the cams on modern bows were too big. I definitely think I will be picking one of these up.

It’s just technique, you have to lift up and cam down similar to a OOAL platform. I personally use a USA amsteel strap and I just cinch it tight with the platform mostly open and then finish opening it the last few inches and it’s like I bolted it to the tree.
