    What’s helped me the most with my lwhc

    Adding the summit stirrups. Climbs so easy n natural now. Also no need to raise the belt angle. I use it as it came from factory. Thought this might be of help for some folks.

    Mammut HMS biner wear??

    Ive been rappelling a bit with the 2.0 and associated biner. I noticed wear after only a few times. The finish is gone (expected) but there’s a noticeable flatspot too. Normal?Seems odd but im no expert

    Finallyyyy did my first rappel on jx3 and mamut smart 2.0

    I loved it. Also tried climbing w rappel line etc. I’m not sure how ppl are using the smart as an ascender. It slips. Now, if i drop a bit in rappel mode it really sets up nice. But climbing im not sure how to get it to set hard like that. Im using the mamut biner for it too

    Are we unsafe?

    Given the arboriculture/osha standard of 1/2” climbing rope, are we being unsafe in using smaller in your opinions? I do know that lobbying for an adjustment to 7/16” is in progress.

    Best climbing method if employing pre-set tether

    May be a silly ? But I’m thinking of getting a telescoping pole to set my tether at hunting height prior to climb, and then rappel down. What climbing method would work the best in your opinion
