All day sits, below freezing temps, and empty bellies.

So the temp finally feel of a cliff here in Missouri and I took off work the 22nd-26th and I plan to do some all day sits because it'll be too far from home to go home for lunch let alone to warm up. The last time I did this I had a hard time finding food that wouldn't turn into rocks in my...

    Cheap tree harness.

Hey I've seen a few people buying harnesses for over $70 just so they can have d-loops. So a friend of mine ran across this the other day and I thought this might be of interest around here. I would think you could take a pair of bolt cutters to the d-loops and replace them with webbing...

    Chemicals and your climbing gear!

I found this today and I thought I would share it. It has some useful information of percentage loss of strength due to different household chemicals. http://blackdiamondequipment.com/en_US/experience-story?q=pilot%20atc&format=landing&cid=qc-lab-acid-harness

    Proud Dad Moment!

Just wanted to drop this here. My step-daughter just moved in with us about two months ago. Has lived in the city all her life and hasn't spent much time outdoors. Lastnight she field dressed her first squirrel! Win no eww or gross or anything of the sort. :)

    Squirrels!!!!

For real, I think I'm going to start cutting a good size limb about 2' or so long and attach it to a pull up line. That way every time one of those little b@$t@rds spends too much time under my tree I'll just drop it on him and save my arrows.

    D!(k Move?

Just curious how you guys would take it. You show up at your local hunting area for a afternoon sit. When you get there there's two guys coming back in from their hunt. You ask them if they saw anything and they reply somewhat down heartedly that they haven't seen anything all day. So you're...

    Swhacked Off

Just thought I would share these with anyone who is thinking about trying to go cheap on their machanical broadheads this year. This is what my Swhackers look like after one deer. I think the more bent one is the one that went between her eyes but the other was a standard double lung. I...

    Wallis Grommet... Silence you biner!!

I haven't been on in a while but I saw this and thought anyone trying to silence the metal on metal connection of their climbing gear might be interested. http://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog. ... item=15784

Breaking stuff!!! Is it this Sit, or a Drag?

So I've been watching all the Sit-Drag conversation over the last couple months and I'm truly impressed with the uniqueness and the innovation in everyone's approach to their Sit-Drag rigs. They all hold a bit of everyone's on personality in them and you just don't seem to get that with store...

    Missouri Alternative Methods... Firearmless...

So it's almost alternative methods here in Missoura and I'd like to hunt it with a firearm. Only one problem... The only firearm I own legal for the season is a Ruger SR9C. I do however own a Mosin Nagant and I thought about turning it into a pistol for giggles but it's from the Tula factory...

    Atl-atl anyone???

I just read an article today about a gentleman in my state who just took a fifteen point buck with an atl-atl. He got it at right yards from a tree stand. So I was wondering, has anyone tried using a atl-atl from a treesaddle? Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk

STL Hunter Looking for a Demo

Is there anyone in the STL area in the 38 waist size that would be willing to Demo their aerohunter? I've got a weaver cougar right now that I've modded to to make it quieter. But it's still pretty heavy and I sweat like a stuck pig in the warmer weather wearing it due to the neoprene. I...
