Same here. Planning on putting the stock scope back on next season, or if I can afford it, a hawke, etc. I find it's not necessarily the light transmission limits of the red dot, it's the blocked sight picture. Much better to see the whole critter.

    LWCG Crossover Climber Reviews

What a hot-mess. I'm itchin' real bad to get one, but I've gotta do some good adulting and save up the scratch first. Probably get one in 2025 ... hopefully I won't have to deal with all this!

    LWCG Crossover Climber Reviews

Definitely itching to get one. Maybe next season, $1k is a lotta chedda' for a stand. Then again, $375 was a lot for my LWHC 18 years ago, in terms of my income at the time. Yet that stand has been the best gear purchase I ever made. I still prefer saddle hunting when toting the gun. The...

anyone else see this? panther climbing platform

I'm surprised Panther's lawyers aren't requiring them to strongly suggest a line attached from your saddle to the platform as you climb. I used to have a BR climber and the 1-foot climbing method was squirrely at best. Lost the platform one time while climbing...it was NOT fun trying to fetch...

Which Hawke scope are you using?

    Hickory Creek Koolaid

Yes, but it's a very small variation on POI. Before this season, I put a kisser button that nestles in the top of my nostril. It's really just reassurance since you're taking angled shots and I just wanted to be sure of my anchor.

You definitely have to have the tails served in. Otherwise, you're going to have terrible nock pinch. You also have to have the d-loop the proper length. If it's too long, it will interfere with the anti-dryfire mechanism.

Didn't think of that. Will give it try. Thanks!

    Pac Seat Review

Y'all putting that gel cushion under your tush or on your lower back? I did the first sit in mine yesterday and only annoyance I had was the tube on the edge of the seat digging into my hammies. Not unbearable, but I wonder if a cushion under me might lift me up and alleviate that pressure.

I've found for those in "that" stage of life, this is the best way to tote the Mini on a quick evening hunt. Assuming you don't think the trace odor of cheetos dust is going to ruin your hunt. :)

    Another DIY e-bike

Sweet! I just put the same kit on my diamondback mtb. Aside from using it for hunting, it's just a hoot to zip around on!

Yep. Works great. I use the standard medium riser (.83", I think). In deer hunting situations, I don't think I've ever set the brightness setting higher than "1."

Anybody ever rigged the mini up for bowfishing? I've got 9 points on a GA gator that are burning a hole in my pocket!

    The Hurtz is real?

They're on a magic carpet ride of a season. A lot of chemistry happening for them and it's fun to watch. Too bad there's just too many great AFC teams this year, so none of you Philly fans go thinkin' that they're gonna bring all the way home this season. :tearsofjoy:

    School me on rain gear

I picked up a KUIU set a long time ago that has served me well. It's literally just a shell which is all you really want, so you layer whatever you need underneath it.
