    Knaider for me too. I Gave the Swaider a fair shake and used it for a couple of years. I'm only 59 and when I was up on the ridge alone year before last and it was time to get down and it was dark and I was freezing and everything was soaked I knew it was time for a more secure climbing method.

    I guess it depends on the pines. I like white pines and I love hemlocks. I have a whole darker tone of camo when I'm tucked in a hemlock grove dusk or dawn, especially after it rains. Like deer magnets. I do have a few pitch pines and that bark is loud.

    What's your tack container

    I use a film canister. A piece of string through the top with a knot on the inside to hold it in place then camo tape the string to the outside of the canister. You dont have to worry about dropping the top and the camo tape quiets the tack noise. It's an easy flip with the thumb to get the top off.
