    Shooting the Ventum 30 running a TT drop away with a Spot Hogg sight. Set my rest at 13/16" and literally got a bullet hole through paper first shot. shooting a 368 grain goldtip ultra light perfect.

    I went the opposite direction. My whole set up last season was about 14lbs. After spending 5 hours getting a 230Lb buck out, I switched to a F1 frame pack. It and meat bags added about 3.5 lbs. to my set up. I only bring kill kit , thermacell, range finder, knee pads and a drink with me.

    I use a oldtown guide 119 solo canoe good for 450 to 500 lbs. Gets me and a deer out ok plus it only weighs 46 lbs.

    I'm 5'5" I use 4 LWCG double step sticks with a 2 step movable aider. Both steps on movable aider are 15". I'm getting to 24 ft. with this setup.

    Welcome Lancaster PA guy here but grew up in Middle River Baltimore county. Got 3 doe out of the saddle the first week down there 2 in Cecil and 1 in Hartford. Been hunting Public land down there since the late 80's early 90s.

    Get a thermacell and skip September they are all but nocturnal when its hot. Hip boots or better yet chest waders are a must. Also I find I do better in the morning than the evening.
