I never seen anything with wind over 12-15 mph either. If I can tho, I like to catch those days with a wind like that, that will calm down to nothing. Good wind cover getting in but after I'm set I want it to quit and be done lol.

We had a small tornado touch down few miles down the road and today's windy as hell. About 30 mph with gusts of 40. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and mid 40s and calm, deer should move good since the cold and snow will be hitting sunday. I'll be out tomorrow for sure.

I went this evening. 5-6 years ago I found some good sign this time of year while squirrel hunting and I've never made it back there. So I slipped in about 1 pm and sign looked nearly identical to the past, so I quickly found a tree and climbed up. Well bout 4 I had a spike come by, about 445 I...

@Will Harris I just looked and here's a couple pics from public I hunt, last year and this year, same buck, same scrape, a year to the date, first time to get him each year on camera. He then would spend the next 2 weeks or so in the general area before moving on. Closest I've came was one...

The public places I hunt, the crops on private will get rotated and the deer may summer just a little different than the one before, but they always cut 2 weeks or so before season opens and when they do, the deer shift to they're usual haunts and they use same areas each season and like I said...

I've seen plenty of bucks show in an area within days of the previous year on public and private, never exact day, but with 2-4 days and 3-4 years in a row. They definitely have quite the eternal clock.

I use one of those rada wheel sharpeners on my rage blades. Also I use them a lot with simmons broadheads and most of my work knives.

You ain't kidding, I've complained for the last several years having to hunt around flooded timber for deer and wearing waders, but man with it so dry the deer are really spaced out, and because of the lack of water and ducks theres SO MANY more people deer hunting this year its ridiculous how...

Saw 2 deer, and 2 hogs. Almost killed one hog, each time I got him to stop for a shot, it was behind some trash or a tree. Oh well.... I did find some really good sign, but wind would of never worked for it, so I just moved on and kept scouting, wind should be right for it on Sunday, so I'll...

Yesterday was a heck of a day. Been having a good buck hitting a scrape in the mornings 2 of the previous 3 mornings, so I decided to go try it. It's 1.6 miles from the parking lot, I usually ride my bike until I'm 600ish yards and walk the rest. It was 50 degrees, overcast and a 50% rain chance...

Hunt it just like you do the first rut, in pinch points and high traffic doe areas. This is where cell cams help a ton, I had a doe hit a scrape at 3:00 am this morning, between 3:15 and 7:00 3 other bucks, 2 being mature hit that scrape and left direction she went. Sure wish I wasnt at work....
