    A little show and tell

It is the same stuff JCLINE84 uses and sources were discussed other threads. Search "berry compliant" on here and you find it and sources.

    Scrape soil, does it matter?

This describes what I was finding as well. The soil on these "ridges" was more clay type soil.

    Scrape soil, does it matter?

I also noticed the licking branches on these scrapes were much thicker than I usually see being used. I guess there weren't as many of the younger thinner trees/branches . They all looked like the ones pictured here.

    A little show and tell

I will have to see if I still have the pattern. I do remember that my first attempt was way over complicated. The pattern is pretty simple.

    Scrape soil, does it matter?

Thats what I was thinking, and a good reason. Interesting that deer would instinctively know this?

    Scrape soil, does it matter?

I was scouting today in some river bottom that has seen flooding in 2012 and 2019. I have not really hunted in this type of terrain before. I usually hunt more hill country or typical Midwest farm type areas. There are large areas that obviously had been flooded and the soils in these areas...

2TC with both feet and a lineman?

I have had the same thought but haven't tried it yet. Basically you would be climbing the tree in same fashion as a climbing tree stand but with "soft" and much lighter gear. I think it would just fine with practice.

    Bitter sweet buck harvest

This is hunting at its finest. If all we ever felt was joy or elation over the kill we are not men (or women) of substance. I feel saddened just as much as I feel joy when I take an animal. We as hunters must remember it is not the youtube or outdoor channel world that we venture into, it is...

2TC and 1 stick: best upper tether setup for smooth advance?

Brocky, how is the tree squeeze working? First carabiner to the linesman loop on saddle, 2nd carabiner (green) hooked to linesman Rope across the tree in front of you and then 3rd carabiner to linesman loop opposite the first, correct? Making sure I see it in mind correctly

    Good/good enough?

If that is what your getting consistently i think your good. Now shoot at some distances and see if it stays consistent. May be all set or may need some more adjustments. Shoot with broadheads as well. I bet you will be good though.

No, but that is a dream of mine. About the only place outside the US I'd like to go and hunt.
