    My DIY hammock seat.

    Well I'm not much when it comes to sewing, so I'm going to take it to the local airport where my dad works, they sew custom interiors and seatbelts for Cessna airplanes. I'll post more picture when I get it back. But it's going to basically be a hammock style saddle for my early season hunts...

    DRT, my first climb on a small tree.

    Only climbed 10' today, but wanted to try my gear at a safer level. I'm really going to enjoy this saddle hunting. Also spliced my first couple hollow braid ropes, my amsteel should be here tomorrow, for my bridge and whoopie slings.

    Fleece saddle users, I have a quick question?

    Ok, I live in middle Georgia and hunt in middle Georgia. I want to do a DIY saddle to go with my harness. I want to go fleece because it sounds like it's comfortable and easy enough to DIY. But, I live where it's 110 degrees during bow season sometimes, and sometimes -5 degrees towards the end...

    New to saddle hunting, excited, little overwhelmed, but feel confident!

    So I'm new to saddle hunting, nowhere near New to hunting! I've got five years experience in tree labor. I order a harness, next week will order my climbing rope and ascender. I'm going with the DRT climbing method for most trees, and a platform assisted climb for all trees that have few limbs...
