    Missouri suggestions.

Louisiana guy who has a couple tags left from an unsuccessful trip earlier in the season. I plan on heading back up in a couple weeks, but am looking for something a little closer. Preferably southern or central Missouri. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Outfitter Spartanforge, is anyone using it and what is your opinion?

I’ve used it the last 4 days while on a hunting trip. Other than the weather and rut intel, I don’t see how it’s any different than any other app. I actually think hunt stand is more useful especially the topo and wind predictions. I wish I could get a refund. In my opinion it’s defiantly not...

    Predator platform noise.

    I’m guessing gen 1 not 100% sure

    Predator platform noise.

I’d prefer not to drill into it or anything. Im not the smallest dude, around 220lbs. I’d rather just purchase a different platform if I can’t get this one to act right. This evenings sit it was so loud I ended up standing on top of my lone wolf sticks, which sucked badly because it’s a single...

    Predator platform noise.

My predator platform seems to be making a clicking noise while moving around. I’ve checked it over numerous times and can’t seem to pinpoint what’s causing it. Any suggestions?

    Hurricane Ida

Made it through ok. Worked 96 straight hours as a first responder, just made it home today to access damage. Mother Nature spared my house but many neighbors didn’t make out so well. The city I work for shut down all city agency’s during the hurricane except for the FD which I work for. We...

    Hurricane Ida

Just wanted to wish my luck to all my fellow Louisiana people out there. Looks like we’re in for a rough couple of days. Stay safe, this ones no joke.

    Editing software

Getting a little more serious into self filming this upcoming season and was wondering if I could get some pros and cons to the different editing programs available. I’d like something compatible with IOS. Thanks in advance.

Looking for knife sharpening system suggestions

Difference between good edge and hair popping edge. And I’d be interested in what quality of knives you’re using on this machine.

    Yellow Jackets

From the looks of it, some sort of RONA is gonna take us all out eventually anyway lol

    Yellow Jackets

Bifenthrin (active ingredient) is some bad stuff, it kills everything! It’s one of the more commonly used insecticides here in Louisiana. I haven’t paid anyone to spray my house since I discovered it. Also safe for yards, for anyone that’s a grass geek like me.

Looking for knife sharpening system suggestions

Oh ok. Yeah I use the small work sharp field sharpener with the diamond stone and it works amazingly. Very good for the money.

Looking for knife sharpening system suggestions

The biggest flaw in the work sharp is, even with the guides if you pay attention to the belt it bows when it makes contact with the bevel causing a rounded edge. Another minor flaw is the angles are pre set. What if your knife has a different degree bevel than what the guides come with? You’re...

Looking for knife sharpening system suggestions

I’ve sharpened knives for many years, and have had many different types of sharpeners. I’d stay away from anything electric like the work sharp. There’s a huge learning curve, and can ruin a blade very easily. Other systems like the lansky and others are decent because of the ability to...

Delta dust! Put a little in the hole, and you won’t have to worry about them come hunting season. Promise.

High end products you can't justify

People who knock the “high end” hunting clothes have obviously never worn them. I hunt between 60-80 days a year and was one of those Sitka haters for many many years. That all changed when my wife bought me a set. Way more comfortable and warm. With the merino base layer the bulk you save on...

    Nutterbuster Spreads(sheets) It Wide Open

And they went to the absolute best place to hunt in Mississippi. I’ve hunted that same piece of public in the delta. Plenty of deer, but it took me 3 seasons to figure out where the deer like to be in the delta. Totally different hunting. It still blows my mind how they didn’t see a deer. Goes...

    Alternative to Thermacell?

Here in south Louisiana I don’t think theres a product on this planet that works for mosquitos as well as the therma cell, and even that isn’t full proof.

    Pipe and cigar talk

Leave them wrapped, it protects the wrappers from being damaged.

    Pipe and cigar talk

If you aren’t going to be keeping them in place you want to show them off I would just use a plastic storage container that has a gasket. I keep anywhere from 50-150 cigars on hand at any time, and I have pretty much gone strictly to the plastic ones. Less upkeep than a humidor as you don’t have...
