    Best saddle and why?

The fourth or fifth one you buy after you figure out what's comfortable for you was my answer. Settled on the new eberhart one. I like it.

    Do you eat Feral Hogs?

I hunt them and eat them regularly. There is a difference between pigs depending on location. Nasty swamp pigs eating palmetto are darn near inedible. Got to soak in vinegar and water and then milk to make it good. Pigs in farmland are a different story. The younger the better. Piglets or fat...

OOAL Solo a Squirrel Step Combo Question

Good to know. Damn. Now I kinda want to buy more stuff.

    All Woman Opinion

My wife was tolerant until we had our first kid this year. I've hunted twice this season and it was a giant pain in the butt both times. High hopes for next year.

OOAL Solo a Squirrel Step Combo Question

Hmmm. Wow. I just assumed it wouldn't work but had to ask. Is it stable enough to walk around the tree? Does the droop destabilize the scout at all?

    Looking into some new sticks/Steps

I'd buy the ewo sticks and not look back. I screwed around spending money on others till I broke down and now realized I would have actually saved money just buying them first.

OOAL Solo a Squirrel Step Combo Question

I figured. Seemed too easy a solution to not just be "the way".

OOAL Solo a Squirrel Step Combo Question

Would the strap for the solo after it is cammed over be sturdy enough to stabilize squirrel steps securely enough to stand on them or do you still need a separate strap that can be more securely tightened? I don't own either was just wondering.

You might be a saddle hunter if...

If you started saddlehunting with the idea that you were going to revolutionize every aspect from climbing the tree to the saddles themselves with your diy magic and innovative thinking only to buy extremely expensive gear made by people who knew what they were doing.

    Rope/Climbing Gear Organization

I really couldn't think on how to title this thread. My current set up is a mantis and I keep all of my ropes (linesman belt & ropeman, 30ft tether & madrock, 2 backbands, tether retrieval line) in mag pouches attached to the molle on my saddle. This keeps everything handy as I climb, easy to...

    CLOSED ISO Medium Alice Pack

My medium is my favorite camping pack. Put some better shoulder straps and waist belt on it and it's a very versatile pack that can carry far more gear than I ever need. My large ones never come out of the basement. Interested to see what you do with it.

    Calling all saddle manufactures!

I always thought about just making a little exendable stick that would just hold my bridge loops apart at the width if my waist. Like an aluminum collapsible leg pole with the button or something and a way to attach to bridge loops where bridge attaches. Just wasnt sure if that would be a safety...

    Calling all saddle manufactures!

Tried a search for soft sac. Who makes it? Edit...ok I understand now after looking through. Looking at medical anti fatigue mats that I can cut and wrap in cordura and put anti slip covering on. More of a cover than a whole new platform.

    Calling all saddle manufactures!

Yeah. I usually do but left the ol kneepads at home by accident and consequently got pretty fidgety. Not gonna see deer shifting around uncomfortably every few minutes.

    Calling all saddle manufactures!

I found the thread a little while ago. Weldebeast on here has made a soft platform. Gone soft, public something or other was the thread title. After the way my feet felt yesterday I am now intrigued. Some soft padding on that scout might be in order if I can find a way to do it safely where it...

    Calling all saddle manufactures!

I feel pressure on my feet more than my butt. I do get a bit of hip pinch but that is usually remedied by pulling down my mantis when it rides up. I have one of those super fancy eberlhart saddles on back order though so maybe that will help. Kinda tempted to try one of those bag platforms to...
