    Scentlok or Scentblocker?

What I've found... Scentlok bought Blocker Outdoors. Blocker uses a few different scent control technologies, but they do not share the carbon alloy tech with Scentlok. Blocker uses a different carbon tech called cold fusion catalyst. They also uses what they call S3 technology which is silver...

    Scentlok or Scentblocker?

Just Scentlok here. Didn't know they owned Scenkblocker thought. Learn something new everyday. I'm with jpastor1759 that Scentlok holds the patent so idk if Scentblocker can use activated carbon or not. If they don't use carbon I wonder what they use to justify having the name Scentblocker...

Whats everyone using on aider steps

I had an old broken garden hose laying around and cut it into 9" long pieces. It wouldn't fit inside the webbing, so I cut it long ways in half and used the 2 halves, one for each step, in my double aider. I used to have just paracord cobra weaved over top of the webbing that was folded in...

    Binocular chest pack

I use the Alaska Guide Creations harness. I believe mine is the Alaska Classic with MAX pocket. Very well made and laid out. Overall I really like the harness. It has the rangefinder pocket on the front which is convenient. However it is a little large for my particular binos. I should have...

New from Indianapolis. Would provide photography in exchange for mentoring.

Welcome from Southeastern IN. How new to hunting are you? Have you ever hunted anything before? Small game, gun hunt for deer? Why did you decide to start bow hunting for deer?

Needing some binoculars for hunting. What would you suggest?

I have 10x42 but most of the time am wishing I had 8x42. I use them especially as the sun is going down so that extra low light visibility would be handy.

    Ropeman 1

I placed an order as well even though they were back ordered. Seemed like about a week out.

    Binoculars

I bought a pair of Bushnell 10x42 a couple years back. They were discontinued and were going real cheap so I bought them. Never had a decent pair before and never realized what I was missing. For the hunting I do I wish I would have gotten the 8x42 to be a bit better at early morning and late...

    Integral gear

I'm going to be part of the cliche here and say my saddle. I bumped a buck in a crp field this year. Scouted around the area and 2 weeks later I hung my saddle in a tree 50 yards from his bed that was way too small to put up a lock on and I took that buck. There's no way I would have been able...

    Hello from S.E. Indiana

It's steep down there. I'm sure there's plenty of people on here that would says it's not, but as a flat lander it was definitely steep. The only thing I didn't like is you can't use bonus antlerless tags there so it's buck and archery doe tag only. I was looking to fill a bonus tag for the...

    Hello from S.E. Indiana

Welcome. I too live in Ripley County. Just north of Osgood. I typically hunt private land on a farm and this year I discovered Big Oaks and killed a doe there. Also hunt some other public land around. Went to splinter ridge for the first time this year and also crosley south of Vernon. I killed...

    Hydro Dipping.

H4 Hydrographics in Greensburg IN does a fine job. They did my Jeep grill for me last year and it looks awesome. I also follow them on Facebook and I see them doing guns quite often. Just this week they were dipping deer skulls in camo, very neat. I don't believe they have a website, but you can...

    2020 Season

Given this year was my first year with a saddle I learned a ton. Even got a buck in a tree too small for anything but a saddle. I found a ton of advantages to the saddle and the "run and gun" style of hunting and a lot more public land hunting as well. So far this season I've gone much lighter...

    Christmas drawing

I'm in on some bacon. Also how about a chance to come hunt some wild hogs. Here in Indiana we don't have the hog problem that the south does or the opportunity to harvest hogs. I have always wanted to try hog hunting and learn the cuts and processing technique for them.

    What rifle is everyone using?

My brother just killed 2 does one at 140 and one at 190 with a ruger American predator in 6.5 creedmoor. The 140 yard doe went 50 yards due to the shot being a bit back but the 190 dropped and never flinched.

    What rifle is everyone using?

Here in Indiana we have just in the last few years been allowed to use “high powered” rifles on private land so I am using my savage axis 6.5 creedmoor. Public land is straight walled cowboy cartridges only so I use a break action CVA hunter 44 mag there.
