“P” bottle or let it fly?

Let it fly. I've had deer come in right after like they were checking out the noise with no negative reaction.

Alright, here we go. This is a mock scrape I made after clearing out an old road bed. It was overgrown. Only took the deer a couple of days to start using the logging road as a trail.
Notice the second deer in the pic, a fawn, has its nose in the mock scrape. And yep, all I did was open the scrape under an overhanging limb and got it started with a little regenerated water!!
Will try to update pics if more deer find it and what happens. May go freshen it up this weekend.

I have my own thoughts on this, not sure if they are correct. Always wanted to ask this to a bunch of other hunters. What’s everyone’s thoughts, “P” in a bottle or just let it go from the stand??

I consider peeing from/near the stand to be both scent control and scent wicking. I’m convinced that by the time the pee ammoniates (usually in very short order), the deer can’t tell the difference between their own brand and mine anyway. I try to find a scrape or rub near my setup to hit first, then by the time I’m up for a while I’ve gotta go again. It’s the main reason I went for a platform instead of ROS. Lightweight, quiet, and easy to pee from.

Mr Barry Wensle told me about peeing on a deer in about 1980 something while I was teaching him and Rick Blase hunter ed at a archery shop in pittsboro nc,scine then I've peeled on lots of critters, bears, coons, groundhogs, button bucks ect.Ha just thought most of you will have no idea who Barry and Rick are.

You just have to cut the finger off a scentlok glove and filter it and its perfectly fine.
