1stick repel rope

This is what I used last year. I’m building a couple options right now. This is the largest bag I found minus the maxepidition which will hold like 72 oz capacity

Just an FYI. The orca I showed has a zippered bottom pouch that you could cut out the lining to make one big pouch which would give you a couple extra inches of depth and then you could unzip the bottom and your rope would fall out the bottom.

Hear some guys put a gear hoist in that bottom compartment and cut a little hole in the side to run the line out.

When you say the line are you referring to the repel rope? Wondering if a automatic retriever hoist could do it. I will have to go watch J Mills video again.

The reference was to the gear hoist line. Please do not attempt to rappel off of your gear hoist line!

? I was referring to the rope water pouch and if the Doyle’s would have enough to pull the repel rope inside the pouch to keep it taunt as I worked myself up. I hope that you really didn’t think someone would use a hoist string in that manner.

You would be surprised what people do.

The reference was to use the Doyle's hoist in the bottom for your bow/gear, and the top for your rappel line. They were intended to be referenced separately!

The topic is good but why is this in the Welcome section?

I didn’t realize it was in the welcome section. Could a moderator please move it to the appropriate place. Thanks.

WELCOME TO ONE STICKING!

Wasn’t trying to be a smart ass about it. Just thought this section was for newcomers. Hard enough time trying to find subjects in certain threads. Was just curious. I’m always trying to learn new stuff. Trying to find stuff sometimes gets hard when it’s all over. Especially when you have people get upset that there repeating questions because you can’t find it in the search!?

@wrbrd wanted you to know it meant nothing by asking the section. I like the suggestions and I’m interested in some of them. I was curious of it because there have been comments in the past about searching and referring to certain topics. My apologies.

All good man! Appreciate the fact that you are willing to try and help yourself, as fewer and fewer are willing to do. If you are new to the saddle game you can go back to Jan 2020 and read forward and get up to speed FAST! 95% the questions you have will have been asked, then answered by the pros a thousand times last year. I find it interesting to go back four or five years, as you can literally read the development of the sport. We have it good now, with so many vendors offering so much ready made equipment….it only takes $$$$$. Ha! Ha! LOTS of $$$$. Good Luck!

No offense taken. I really didn’t realize where I was when I posted it. I probably welcomed some new people and was trying to think about how to make a self feeding and self return system for my repel rope.
