Mark sent me a pic today of his new stands.
One is the remake/redesigned stand that was the old Treesuit platform.
It weighs 1 pound 11.5 oz and is rock solid on the tree.
The other stand is the Crotch Rocket, designed to wedge into tree crotches.
Its a little heavier but has more surface area. Its a hair over 4 pounds.

Big improvement there with the "crotch rocket" over the old bear creek with those notches to allow it to fold flat. That has always driven me nuts with my old bear creek...

Those Treesuit platforms look nice. All three of those are different right? Not just my craziness?
No, just 2 different ones there, except the Treesuit one in the middle was the 1st one made and its welded at the "bends". Mark discovered that he could actually bend the frame and speed up production and improve strength and appearance.
Looks like he decided he didn't need the cross brace, too.

Edit...treesuit weighs 1pound TEN.5 oz. Not 1 pound 11 .5 oz.
I know some of you guys like to shave every ounce...I wanted to be accurate.
Guess I had spastic thumbs when I typed the 1st post.

I have never used a crotch stand but have always been curious about how well they work. Without some way to adjust the width it seems like it would be really limited where you could use them.

I hear you. I'm sure they have their place and they have the guy who like them so I believe that he can sell some of them. I will probably buy one just to have one in my bag of tricks but I'm more excited about the treesuit style stand. Now that sucker has a lot of potential.
The crotch stand...I spent many hundreds of hours on one piece, lash-on style many years ago. Shot quite a few deer from them.

No doubt they have their place and I hope he sells a bunch of them. Heck, I might buy one just because my interactions with Mark have been so positive.

I was just kind of pondering out loud how I could use one.

If you hunt on a farm with old fruit trees (like apple) they are awesome!!!! I've never had a hard time finding a place in an apple tree. It's another tool in the toolbox!

Who you kidding? You have a whole tool shed....maybe even a tool wing of the house!

Seriously though, these are cool. I think the regular style model has a spot waiting for it in my tool shed!

It's a corner of the basement...about to become a kids playroom actually

Any idea of price?
You will have to contact Mark and ask him.
But he told me earlier that he intended to get the new products on his website treehopperllc.com
He definitely knows that his site needs tweaked and he plans to fix it, but right now, he is swamped with gear development and the shows that are fast approaching.
Plus, personally answering questions from customers (because his site ain't up to date).

The Tree suit platform is going to be $99.
The crotch rocket is not yet determined.
I have the perfect spot for a crotch platform but I’m not sure how they work. Do you have to ratchet strap them in on both sides?

No ratchet straps.
The stand articulates. Push down on the hinge section and it bites and wedges into the tree.

How will this work on small trees ? The measurements he gave me is 6 5/8 between the legs ?

Oh man, I'm really interested in that treesuit platform. I've been thinking about trying a platform but just not that interested in the fiddle factor with cam overs.
