2 Tether Climbing question

The last few seasons I've been climbing using the single stick method with a three step aider. However this past January I had ACL replacement/repair surgery on my right knee. I've been doing PT religiously and have made significant improvement to my knee mobility. However climbing using an aider just concerns me. In using climbing aiders, the side to side possible rotation just frankly scares me.

Looking at the 2TC method, I have the foot loop (for my left foot and leg) and the thigh attachment (for above my right knee) from Custom Gear Modifications. I have made the long tether to hook to the thigh strap. My question is this...where do I put the long friction hitch? Above or below my madrock safeguard? I plan on using my Oplux rappel rope that I used for one sticking to do the 2TC method.

Can anyone provide a picture for me on how to set up the long prussic and the safeguard?

I think it works best with the long friction hitch above your Safeguard, just below the tether girth/link. See minute 8:58 in the attached video. I think thats the way @Red Beard rolls as well.

I ordered the 2TC kit from @always89y but man it’s a lot of work. I am sticking with one sticking as my primary climbing method.

I would too...however I honestly do not know if my right knee will take that type of pressure. Shoot...doctor states that i cannot do martial arts for two years post surgery.

So looking at that video, I can see how it works and also how it would also work with using a one stick method with my aider. As I sit in my saddle with my right leg bent and supported by the thigh band, I could then stand up on my left leg and place my right foot on the step. I will have to try both methods in late May or June. Need to work this out so i can get my presets done on my lease.
