I am going to pull this review until further testing and Browning responds to the problem I am having with the one camera I recently purchased. Also there seems to be some discrepancy about actual video length - as advertised the 2015 model should have 15 sec - 2 min video capability - I will have to verify this later this weekend. I know the setup software has these settings but I have no tested to see if true 2 minute video is on them. The other issue I am having is very poor detection range on this camera. Let's see what Browning states - hopefully this is just one bad egg. I will know a lot more when I pull some cards this weekend. Until then I cannot in good faith encourage anyone to either buy or not buy this camera. More to come

DaveT thanks for the review. I'm looking to get a new trail cam . I have it narrowed down to two cameras right now. The Browning black ops and the Moultrie m1100i. I'm leaning towards the moultrie just for the night time video length. The Browning has great features and great reviews but only has a 30 second max. night time video length. Did they upgrade that in the 2015 models?

DaveT, I just checked and the night time videos are limited to 10 seconds so nothing changed from 2014 to the 2015 models. This is disappointing because they are nice cameras.

below is the URL to show the 2015 browning Black Ops camera is having 15 second to 2 minute video clip for sound? I'm going to have to check this when I get home. I will say this after some extensive testing over the last few days I'm not as hyped about the detection range and some of the video and pictures that I got on the last camera I purchased has not been the best. I think it may have a bad it sensor?

Ok I called browning - their cameras do in fact convert over to 10 second videos at night time. Daytime they can go up to 2 minutes. I also found out that rechargeable batteries do not work well in these cameras - so I am going to get some regular alkaline and give it a shot this weekend. Will post more info as I get it. I will say this Browning Customer Service was very helpful and responsive which is a plus.

OK, I received a software update from Browning and re-loaded that..... the cameras are now functioning very well. The detection range for both pictures and videos seems to be around 50-70 foot depending on weather. The daytime photos and video are very nice. Nighttime are as good or better then most I have used or seen. As reported above, the nighttime video mode has only a ten second length (which is fine for my applications as I seldom set videos for longer then that anyway). Daytime videos are up to 2 minutes in length. I really don't see an application where I would ever use 2 minutes - but 30 seconds would be nice at times. Like I said this works well for my application (on trails/mineral sites)

One note is there is a very light detectable filter click when they take a series of photos. It is not very loud but it can be detected at very close range. I don't think it will be a problem. I will be setting these up in the woods next month so I will soon know if the deer pay any attention to the slight click sound.

Overall, this camera is definitely worth the price.... in fact they are a lot of camera for that price. Also, Browning customer service has been very responsive which is very nice. I bought the cameras through Trail Camera Pro and they have been great. They were will do trade, refund or do whatever it took to keep me happy - I will ALWAYS purchase from them due to their great customer service. They have a 90 day return policy and very competitive pricing.

I have had these cameras out for about a month now and have to say that they are working great. I prefer them in picture mode (very fast trigger time) but the video mode is also doing well. They detection range seems to be about 70-85 foot most days and a little shorter on nights. I run many makes of cameras and so far this is the one that I plan to use on my tight set ups - I have yet to have a deer look at the camera.

SO far very satisfied and recommend these cameras where black glow camera is used.

Friend has one of these and video looks decent. What I noticed on a non baited setup, walking deer show up on video about 1/3 frame. Not sure if its detection range or slow to trigger? Unlike his primos clunk 35 cam, no deer look at this cam.

TrailCamPro.com is the only place I'll buy trail cameras from anymore. The customer service is superb, and nobody can match the free shipping, free 2-year warranty, and free SD card with each purchase. Great company to do business with...
