My season doesn't open until Oct 1, and I wont be in the woods until the 15th. But.... I should have 4 straight weeks off, so I plan to slay a few. Especially since I struck out on the elk trip this week.

I have a rut-cation scheduled for Nov and time off in Dec. NJ and part of PA season started already. I won't be out until next weekend, but then it is game on!

We didn't have enough profits (there weren't any profits lol) last year to do a prize for the winning team. Maybe this year we can sell a few more shirts.
 
I think last year the winners were projected to get a can of sardines.
 
I'm thinking out loud here, and this is waaaaaaaayyy down the road, but how would some of you feel about doing 2 separate contests next year? One could be a freebie, like we do now. The second could be a mandatory shirt purchase contest. To enter, you have to buy the shirt for $15ish. That means the winning team could actually get something pretty cool.

I'm totally in. And for the record, it is looking like I will definitely be at saddlepalooza this year... I mentioned it as my birthday present and my wife didn't bat an eye.

Good morning hunt. saw 4deer total. I did spook on about 50 yards behind me. Had to get out early because I forgot to take the car seat out.... ggrrrr
