2019 Deer Contest Team 6 Discussion

How far north were ya? I went up around tecumseh(not very far north) the other day and they had snow. Did you get any of that? Heard grayling has a few inches already.

Guys I’m all done! Here’s my second deer for the contest, a nice 10 point. I killed him at 38 yards from my Aero Hunter Flex and Tethrd platform. I went into a new property blind in the morning and headed to an area I identified via maps. I love it when a plan comes together!

I got into some deer last time with cyber scouting, but no bruisers like yours. Heading a little further in friday pm.

Sorry been quiet on my end. Watched a doe coming into heat on sunday try unsuccessfully to run off her fawns for an hour. Going to make a few surgical strikes before Nov. 15th hits and I put away the carbon and break out the blued steel.

DanO was kind enough to send me some sterling oplux and TRC. Works great so far, but had to girth hitch the oplux on my tether to keep it from slipping. More to do with tree angle than anything imo.

just did a saddle test fit with my carhartt bibs and jacket for wednesdays 4 degree morning hunt....should be interesting. going to be a tricky balance to not get sweaty on the way in. about a half mile hike. trying a hard push wednesday and thursday before lead starts flying. hoping deer should be up and moving at 4 degrees though
