where did he post it?It sounds like they will be looking for a new location because of the cat getting out of the bag, according to a post from Dan over on the Beast.

I wasn't going to post this but I guess I will. My wife and her family are from Michigan and I live in North Carolina. Anyway for Christmas a couple of years ago my father in law and wife bought me a Michigan hunting license. I was hunting near ST. Charles Michigan but cannot remember the name of the game lands. Anyway when buying the license I was told by the store employees and the locals that I should not waste my money as it was the end of the season and the game lands had been over hunted so I probably will not see a deer. They also said no one has seen a deer in over three weeks. Anyway I scouted my first day and then the next walked into my chosen spot. I sat for an hour and a half and had a nice six point walk out. I shot him and took him to the place I bought my license and they said I'll be damn where did you find him. My response, further in at the bedding area, not near the fields that all the hunter hang out at. There is a reason that most shows are filmed in the midwest, the deer are larger and there are plenty of fields to glass them and get on them. In the big woods I hunt in the south there are two fields that I know of and they are small. One of my properties is 52,000 acres and one is 500,000 acres. When you can't glass or shine and all you have are big woods it makes the hunting harder I don't care where you are.I will say I am disappointed that they changed venues. It would truly be a public challenge if they were seeing extra fanboys and had to find the deer despite them. I know Michigan thinks it's lands are overrun and the most crowded, but keeping it where it was planned might barely approach the typical NC public land experience by doing so!

The Public Land Challenge threadwhere did he post it?
I listened to it. It was good. The difference between that podcast and them being in the same camp together is that the interviews were done separate. I would like to actually hear the conversation between the two of them. Not because we don't already know how they feel about it, but I just feel like it would be entertaining. But there's no doubt about it they're both top-notch when it comes to killing deer regardless of their scent control system or lack of.
They all go home with tick aids, joe jumpers, banana spider webs, and claims of being molested by skunk ape.....with 3, 60 pound hogs in the cooler........Send them to bama or Florida that will be a challenge.....lol.
I think everyone left by SundayHow long are they in Michigan for? Typically they spend about a week, no?
No, that sounds about right. They all go home with tick aids, joe jumpers, banana spider webs, and claims of being molested by skunk ape.....with 3, 60 pound hogs in the cooler........

They a good group.fellas in person as they seem on the channels?I believe everyone is home at this point. I won't give anything away but should be some action in the next couple episodes. Was a great time and I'm thankful I got to be a part of it!
I think the challenge showed how hard it is to hunt in Michigan due to the vast number of deer hunter in the state educating the deer population. PA and WI are tough to hunt as well for the same reason. I have a buddy from Michigan that hunts in Iowa and he tells me that if you can kill a fork horn in Michigan, you can kill a P&Y in Iowa.
State land hunting is by far the hardest for 'decent' bucks(8 points and up). Even the jump from public to private is enormous. I've hunted for years on public land for gun and archery and have never shot one. First year I hunted a 40 acre private parcel outside of Lansing, I shot a bruiser 8 point. Weighed in at 180 dressed, no idea what he scored but it was probably over 100.I think the challenge showed how hard it is to hunt in Michigan due to the vast number of deer hunter in the state educating the deer population.
