2019 team 12

Spot check, does anyone have a plan for this weekend? My hunting buddy is out scouting multiple public properties today and I have going at 3 to a new property I gained permission on. Hoping to find some alternative bucks to chase towards the end of this year and early next year, while they're leaving plenty of sign.
I’ll be still trying to get a doe in range on my lease. Have a few good bucks on camera but I can’t figure out where exactly they’re bedding. Either that or try to shoot a few hogs. Really want to get a deer before rifle season opens but hogs are keeping the deer out of my better spots

Looking like I'm done. My wife and daughter are hunting rifle season over the next 10 days. And honestly it's cold here to make it enjoyable for me.

Had a great hunt Friday morning. Tagged another doe & a nice 10 pt. Submitted the 10 pt but had trouble uploading more than one picture.

Killed a good one yesterday. Not from a saddle but I already have an & down so he wouldn’t have added any points for us anyway

CONGRATS!!! That is a nice buck.

Well, to be honest it has been a little rough from the saddle so far this season. Shot over a good 8pt's back opening week of Arkansas's muzzleloader season. Then had a good trip to Northwest Florida but unfortunately was not able to seal the deal. Shot over her back at 15 yards, then no opportunity to draw at 30 yards, then had 2 bucks at 50 yards. So last week's open of gun season decided to hunt with my father-in-law and enjoy the comforts of a box blind. Yesterday morning had this guy come strolling by the ground blind I put up in a hardwood flat.

Going to get back after them and from a saddle soon. Hopefully I will be able to help put some points up on the board.

In southeast Arkansas the bucks are starting to take interest a check out the does with some sprinting action. Did not observe any full out chasing going on but should not be long.

Congrats on the kills guys! I promise I'll have some points on the board soon. I've had a pretty bad dry spell so far this year and shooting that buck that I couldn't recover didn't help anything. But rifle season in bama opens up next weekend and we've still got almost three months of season left so I'm not too worried about it.

Not the biggest but my first saddle buck plus 12 more points on the board!

Well I’m home from my nonresident Kansas Public land hunt. Despite what I considered awesome rut weather ( super COLD!) the action was very slow for us for some reason. Only saw 6 bucks all week. But The Lord blessed me Thursday afternoon with a small 6 point. Not the biggest deer but I had a blast! And it’s my first saddle deer! And of course I had a giant show up on Friday while I was trying to fill my doe tag :confused2: Watched and filmed him with my phone for several minutes.Never got closer than about 80 yards, but least I got to see one of those Kansas studs! Thanks to my friends Joe and Scott for sharing an awesome week of deer camp!5E348BAD-347B-4948-A19B-8A8CE777AD3F.jpeg2377E8E4-5000-4FB7-86D3-95DB6A50384A.jpeg

Congrats! Sounds like a fun trip!

Well I got my first kill out of the saddle this weekend. Unfortunately it wasn’t anything that will give us any points.

I skinned him out. Planning on just having the hide tanned and doing a euro mount on the skull. I've killed a bunch of them over the years while trapping but never shot one with my bow before.
