2019 Team 2 Thread

I took a day off work to get this bow setup, got it tuned & shooting well. Got sighted in to 20yds & didn’t put sight tape on it yet. I was done by 3 or so & decided to get in an evening hunt. My climb wasn’t bad but it took me 5-10 mins to really get setup right. My tree was a little smaller than basketball size & no cover but @ 15-18’ there was a lot of back cover from tree 2’ away. Finally got setup & had a fawn, spike & fork come by. This guy came out at last light, I’d of never seen him in time from a hang on! I moved all the way around the tree & used every inch of tether. I was waiting at full draw as he stepped out @ 18 yds, he looked up but the arrow was already gone! One of the toughest drags I’ve had in a few years. Great night!!!!

Great Story. What bow were you tuning up and why? That's a great buck.

I bought my first new bow in 10 years or so last year, got a prime cyntergy hybrid ( it was just a hair short & I couldn’t shoot it from height, I was cheating on form a bit to shoot it on flat ground) anyway sold it & bought a used bow here on classifieds.......... so eventually I’ll pick up that new prime ( now that I can get 31 1/2” draw) but not in a rush. This thing (pse evolve 35) shoots great!!

31.5” draw bows are hard to find not a lot of options.... I got an elite pure 31.5” and an elite hunter 31”

Well it was really none of my business but I thought it was interesting especially since you got dialed in a day or so before you harvested a nice deer. Thanks for sharing!!! BTW I was in Glen Arms, MD the weekend before last for a family function. We stayed at a hotel in Towsen. That was the first time I was in that Northern MD area reminds me a lot of WNY. Saw a lot of deer too! My prior times in MD were always on the coast on Kent Island.

I know it’s rough & some bow models shoot great at shorter draw length & then garbage when you let them all the way out.

No worries it all came together quickly , that bow feels a lot like the bow I had before the prime. So I felt comfortable with a reduced range , just to get in the tree. Too funny I shot that deer in Glen Arm!
