2019 Team 2 Thread

Good stuff guys! Congrats on the kills! I’ve been at it hard but no luck on another buck yet. Had some close calls but just hasn’t come together for me yet. I did smash this nice yote this morning at 12 yards from the saddle

Got after it this morning, I snuck my way into a good spot just before gray light. I was actually setting my 3rd stick when I heard him coming around the point. My 4th stick was still hanging off my saddle & I was wearing my pack. My bow was on still on the ground w the pull up strap attached to the left side of my pack. I knew he was going to be visible in less than 30 seconds , I gambled pulled up my bow. It helped that he was coming in at my 3 o’clock & bow was at my 9 o’clock with the tree helping to block. I got it up & nocked an arrow as he can into view at 50yds still pretty grey but he was close. I’m still on LB , no tether yet..... so I rested the bow between myself & the tree balanced on the LB while I out on my release. He’s closing to 30 yds by now coming from right to left & going to pass 15 yds in front of me but going to hit my wind at 12 o’clock. So no bridge to bring bow over I passed it through & out my left hip to the tree & cranked my ropeman tight holding me into the tree. I managed to come to full draw & he put his left front leg forward, time to roll. I gave a final run through my sequence & released, arrow hit perfectly & exited through the offside shoulder. He snowplowed, & died within sight about 40 yds away. I had 2 more bucks come in while I was field dressing him for the drag. Beautiful morning to be in a tree!!!

Awesome man! I hope to help us out some this weekend. Coldest weekend of year so far..

@Bigterp amazing story, and awesome buck thanks for sharing! Man that gets me pumped to climb a tree.
I had a guy I work with that is curious about hunting ask me if it was not as fulfilling to score early & not enjoy the rest of the hunt that morning. Absolutely not!!! It’s so awesome to pick the spot within the spot walk in w/ no light , pick a tree & kill!! Love the chess match & I learned some new stuff for that spot pre-rut next season.

Great job- amazing determination. gives me some added motivation on my Ohio bowhunt.
U the man!

First sit of the season for me, hoping things heat up in PA as I have the rest of the archery season off!

Just to brag on the functionality of the JX3, area I wanted to get to didn’t really have a good tree to climb to be in right area, so I tethered up on backside of tree ground level. Up in a tree or in the ground this baby shines!
