2020-2021 Trad Kill Pics

Took this northern MI buck on the 16th of October. I’d tried to get a hero pic with him but my Uncle is old and kept taking video instead of a picture...oh well. 56” VPA ILF with Uukha limbs, 42@28”. Black Eagle Instincts, 125gr Stingers.

That's a darn good northern Michigan buck!!

My buddy John shot this in Iowa this morning.
49# Black Widow recurve and an Ashby arrow. 680 gr total weight, 28% foc, 200 gr single bevel Samurai Overkill.
Perfect double lung.

I can see his gut pile 400 yards from my stand. There's an immature bald eagle eating on it right now.
Been an interesting morning. I saw 9 bucks (including the buck in the pic) in the 1st two hours. John's stand was 500 yards across 2 bean fields from me. He texted me that he had just shot one so I started looking that way. Lo and behold I see his buck laying dead in the picked beans! Man, I wish I would have been looking that way when the buck went down.

The Simmons Treesharks are pretty impressive! A couple of Ga. Does.

I got this guy this morning as he was chasing a doe. I tried to get him to stop with no luck. He did slow down briefly which is all it took. That's why I love instinctive shooting, I just came to anchor and the ol' computer did all of the calculations. I released the arrow and the 2 met. The shot looked low to me but in reality it couldn't have been better. I watched him die about 40 yards from where I shot him.
My bow is a 45# Samick Sage, shooting a Gold Tip shaft with a 125 grain Grizzly mounted on a 125 grain Ace Broadhead adapter.

No time to video him coming in but I've got a shaky video of the recovery.
