Nah. Not all of us are violent. But extremely vocal... which I guess can spark a fight or 2. Haha.

The closest I've ever came to blows was at Miss. State. They won the game and as we are leaving one of them put a cowbell in my face like they had won the National Championship. Next thing I knew I was had ripped that bell out of his hands and was standing over him. Luckily my cousin pulled me away because we were outnumbered 20 to 1 and in the middle of a big crowd. OOOPS big mistake.

The wife asked me when hunting season starts today. Not because she is excited, but because she wanted to know why I was getting everything together for hunting in the middle of summer. Less than two months now boys!

Wife- What are those? Me- These are Climbing sticks that I can carry into the woods and hunt with. Wife- Don't you have a bunch of hunting stuff already to do that with? Me- Yes, but.....these are different
Wife- What are those? Me- These are called aiders. I can use them with those climbing sticks to get higher in a tree. wife rolls eyes
Wife- What are you working on? Me- I'm making a Carry As You go Aider in case I drop an aider. Again eyes roll
Wife- What are you doing? Me- Trying to figure out what colors to use to paint my climbing sticks. Wife- Your kidding, right?

and the list goes on and on.......

well, I don’t have anything to get together for squirrel and dove hunting and she’ll actually tag along for those. I’m talking about the big kahuna, aka Alabama Pine Goats, aka aka deer.

Whachoo talkin’ ‘bout? them dirty hogs fair game now on private. Lol, they’ll just be already cooked for you by the time you find your kill.

Last night I was looking over a bean field. Some does come out and my mouth is just watering. No good trees so I'll have to hunt that area on the ground. Then I start playing those scenarios in my head. Then I notice my heart rate is going up as I'm sitting there thinking about killing a doe on the ground...

I'm not one to wish time to go by, but man I need to kill one of them schizophrenic swamp dwellers. T-Minus 41 days

Yeah, farmers down here like to complain about them, but then want to charge you to sholt them. I stick with public
 
Here's a video of deer number 10 and buck number 3 last year. I suck at filming hunts, so I've been adopting the Womack-style post-kill replay. Don't know about y'all, but watching my breath fog up in that video is making me excited! It was cold and crisp that day, and in my mind I can hear him dragging his feet through the leaves.

Love it!! Crows sqawkin', leaves crunchin, breath foggin, deer dyin. Thats the good life!!
 
Alright who has the earliest opener? Bets on who gets first blood? I’m sure there’s someone that will be hunting before the teams get picked. Who is it going to be?
