2020 Massachusetts Saddle Hunter Meetup

We could do something. By less formal, I mean last year Pete put together a massive event with an itinerary, food planning, raffles... lots of work.

If Tethrd and @MCDM are willing to put that effort in, that is very generous and I welcome them to do it.

So yes, if there is interest I am always up for meeting up!

I am always down to meet up as well!! Masspalooza is alot of work to plan and I personally reached out to peter and said i would be willing to plan the event but it is just logistically easier to tie it into the event posted in the vendor area. I have talked to @pesqimon about the future events and would be willing to throw events not vendor sponsored in the future. Masspalooza is getting bigger so it does require alot of effort to plan and coordinate however if you read the post in the vendor section it will encourage everyone to bring all the toys lol!!

Im also down for a bunch of guys getting together just to play with saddle gear..doesnt have to be formal just guys who show an interest but im also excited for the boston teach and train..im good either way

Loved last year, can't wait for whatever happens...summer can be tough scheduling

Early to Mid April works well for MA since it is before Spring Turkey and we don't all get busy with summer activities.

Just started using a saddle and would be in for a meet up. Mid April would be great.

yeah its slated for August 15, im sure he will come on here and provide more info

I'm signed up for email updates and plan on attending. I can pass along any info if you guys like, although I'm sure most of you will beat me to the punch lol.

I'd vote for a late April date. There's a better chance of decent weather later. Perhaps the first week of May?

I'm good for whatever time that works for you.
Thank you for putting this on.
Rev in NH

Turkey season starts April 27th. Attendance likely drops off if its after that date as guys will be in the woods.

Good point...

Just as an FYI, I received an email that there will be a date change, so don't put in for a day off of work on August 15th just yet. They will update with a new date soon.

As of now, there are two events in play.

One is the Tethrd Teach N Train that was scheduled for August 15 but now apparently has been changed. See the thread about it in the vendor events section.

This thread is now discussing a very informal gathering in Massachusetts, probably around April. Location TBD as well.

I don't care if my GI system is rebelling like the critter popping out of John Hurt in Alien. I'm going to be at that April MA gathering.

I will try to make the April meetup as well, if it happens. I live in the Albany, NY area, but could greatly benefit from meeting a bunch of saddlehunters and seeing how ya'll set up.

Hey guys. I received permission from the archery chair at the club in Auburn for us to do a mini Saddle meet up. This will be a very basic get together because I do not want to take away from the August event and quite frankly do not want to put all that work into it again if I don't have to. No food or raffles, etc. Just some trees and saddle hunting gear. Maybe a 3D target so we can talk about shooting. We just need to pick a weekend in April before turkey starts. I say the weekend before the season opens, on a Saturday. Would that work?

We can always do it somewhere else but Auburn seems like a fairly central location.

Pete
