Any progress on this? We could get a primitive camping spot at Ditto or Monte Sano. Access to a pavilion at booth for all the vendors and giveaways. Plenty of trees to climb. Probably a little more privacy at Monte Sano.

I like the ideas. Let’s get a few good ideas for location and I’ll ad a poll for it. I don’t foresee vendors and give aways. This looks like it’ll be a pretty small meet up at this point.

Good. I was kinda playing off the joke above. Assume it will be after 10 FEB and before Turkey season.

Looking at February 22nd for the meet up.

Is there a way to add a second poll in a thread?

Is everyone good with bringing food and simply grilling out?

Mante Sano and Ditto are great Huntsville locations but may be farther away for guys traveling up or down from TN. Any thought of something closer to 65? Point Mallard park in Decatur has a campground and a archery park with pavilions. I doubt anyone would bother us. If anyone thought it would an issue we could just do all climbing back in the woods where some of the never used targets are.

Never been there but no issue here. Ditto will probably be underwater anyways.

New to the Huntsville area last summer and looking to get a saddle hunting setup this off season. Very interested in the meetup and learning from others on climbing methods and getting the right gear. I'm primarily hunting public land and have hunted RSA and Skyline so far this season

CHECK out post #1 of this thread for the latest update

Hope you can make it. My Flex is only a 1/2 Flex I mod mine so only one pleat opens. It would not be a good representation of a original AeroHunter Flex.

I will be there. I will be bringing my ridge runner, h2, old lone wolf sticks, hawk helium and the parts for a cam and rope mod, ropeman 1 and 2. As far as food I am good with whatever is easiest bc I will be driving 1.5 hours to get there from Chattanooga.

If I can make it I have a Kestrel, sticks, platform, ameristeps, if I can find them sit drags, prusik knot tenders( a couple varieties),rope man 1, I cant think of all I have lol, been collecting crap for a long time

I may bring my DIY JX3 so yall can feed me ideas! lol

any machinist going to be there? I need help with a project It would be nice to discuss in person

I am hoping to rearrange some plans so I can attend.

I'm totally a newbie, won't be able to add much other than being full of questions.

Thank you for putting it together.

I think it'll be perfect for you. I'm sure there will be plenty of learning and getting learnt. @Grillmastertoo You wouldn't happen to know anyone that can grill do you? We are still figuring out what we are going to do for food.

Lol.....no, I used to help with a BBQ team years ago for local competitions, but I was more of a taster rather than cooker.

Here's a list of folks that I found were from Alabama or surrounding areas, have stated they might come, or have shown interest in a meetup. I apologize if i tagged some of you south alabama folk and far off TN folk. Thanks to you all that have already updated us above with your status on attending, gear you'd bring and raffle items. Once you know if you're coming please let me know. We are still 2 and a half weeks out so i'll try not to bug yall again until we are 1 week out.

PM me if you have no interest and aren't coming and I'll remove you from the list.

Thanks
