2020 Saddles

Treehopper is about to release an updated, improved version of the Anderson Sling. ($129.00)
I hunted from the prototype this year and I love it.
I should have the final version of one in my mail today. Mark shipped it to me on Saturday. I'm really eager to show it to you guys.

You could send me the prototype

Well?

They are available. Contact Treehopper. Sale price is over at the end of Dec.
I will put together a video as soon as I can. There is an issue with the waist belt loosening but its being rectified by Mark. I've already devised my own fix for the belt and it works perfectly. I just need to get a few inexpensive pieces of hardware to make my belt a more "polished" product.

What was your solution? It’s driving me crazy, almost to the point of sending it back?? Comfort good. Belt sag. Not so much.

Basically...shock cord. How I rig it is a huge improvement over the Anderson style belt.
I will explain it in more detail when I make a video. But rest assured...it works. Don't give up on the TH sling because of the current belt.

I looked on the website and I don’t see it for sale ‍♂️

I reached out to Mark last night for information on the sling and waist buckle and he got back to me this morning. Sounds like he has tried a variety of different solutions and the most promising is utilizing a buckle commonly found on rock climbing harnesses that should remedy the belt coming lose.

A little birdie tells me we may see a new saddle from aerohunter in May/June....

is this birdie fairly reliable?? i am planning to pull the trigger this spring on a new saddle, just sold my other one. wow, deciding when to buy is challenging! the fear of "the next best thing" coming out the day after i order haunts me constantly!

As reliable as they come...

well, i guess i might as well cross my fingers now and hope it is a mesh flex. haha. dang! now I have decisions to make!

by the way, @enkriss , thanks. i'm glad i know now and won't be shocked later!

Exciting stuff coming guys! I was fortunate enough to test their saddle setup all season, and it’s got a lot of features that aren’t on the market. They will share more soon. This a solid team of Michigan men, and they are going to shake up the saddle hunting industry.
