2021 WI Saddle Hunter Meetup - August 28th

Chad Rice from CRUZR opted for a TN velvet hunt this year but sent up a Seeker platform, some shirts and a headlamp to give away. One lucky attendee went home with this gem…. Just slightly used.

I always get caught up in jaw jacking at these things and forget to take pics. So thanks to my bro Mike for sharing all of those.

we had 21 names in the raffle bucket and had a total of about 30 people come through the meetup.

@JCLINE84 we ended up having at least 3 Overwatch Outdoors Transformers there for people to try out. Good to see your goods represented. Although I’m personally not a 2-panel saddle guy, the craftsmanship in the Transformer that you sent up for us to try out blows me away. The quality of the stitching is second to none from all that I’ve sat in and really is a work of art. I was also impressed by your custom D rings. I didn’t get enough butt time in it to quite find my comfort zone but like I said above, I more of a single panel guy anyway.

Looks like it was a great event. I should have every existing order shipped this week and hopefully be able to keep a saddle or two around to loan out for events like these. Wish I could have been there but 12 page papers don’t write themselves.

I’m annoyed. I tried a super comfortable setup courtesy of DanO consisting of a OneStick and squirrel steps and for the life of me I can’t replicate the tether/bridge/etc setup I had. Trying to get everything dialed in. Always frustrating about saddles being how customizable they are

Put on your ruby crocks, click your heels together and chant, There’s no place like the WI meetup, there’s no place like the WI meetup.

To be serious though, it is amazing how much little variations make such a big difference. We were on pretty big trees there. I could see how that would make a big difference in feel if everything else is consistent.

I want to say the tether over on that slanted scout close to DanO was set pretty low.

I’ll try a lower tether. The tree at my house is pretty skinny
