2023 Hunt Plans?

Got one the same day as @Gator . Also my first

It will be Wisconsin archery, Minnesota rifle deer and duck. I put in for my first Minnesota bear point. I plan to spend a good deal of time in the saddle and on the Pac Seat in NW Wisconsin trying to get my first archery deer with a recurve.

Iowa public land for the buck search, urban deer tags to hopefully work to fill the freezer more, and thinking about taking on my first out of state hunt if I can figure out an OTC tag in a neighboring state, won’t be worried about buck or doe, just having the experience at this point. Start planning better so I can put in points for bigger experiences in future years. Randomly looking at hog hunts, just seems like it would be a heck of a good time. Also look to be fairly affordable, although for an invasive species my pea brain thought it would be darn near free.

Ky public. Same as the last 3 years. And filling the freezer with some backyard GA does this year. We layin em down this year… planning for the apocalypse.

Wisconsin out of state tags aren’t bad, you can buy a buck tag and get a free doe tag for the farmland areas. Two years ago my first archery tag was the cost of an in state tag, then it’s the regular out of state tag cost after that.

Looking at OnX, much less public land in the southern part of the state, but still a fair amount of Managed Forest Law (private land open to public hunting) there too.
