Well once again I was blessed with another beauty from the Adirondacks, I haven’t been on here or hunting much lately because of some family stuff, but the last 2 or 3 weeks I kicked it into overdrive and was able to get it done, the full hunt video will be on Youtube, the “Tracking 200” channel where my other videos are, and hopefully sometime before Christmas, so I won’t give out many of the hunt details just yet, but the footage is some of the best I’ve ever captured solo and it won’t disappoint I guarantee it, I’ll post a link to the video once I know exactly when it’s going up, until then I hope everyone is having a safe and successful season, and good luck to everyone who is still out there grinding it out. -Jon Hill-
IMG_0620.jpegLike most of my hunts, my day started out with a big buck track.

He took me through a lot of country, including this thick swamp.

192 lbs dressed, 133 4/8” gross/green, I’ll have to get him aged, but I’m pretty confident he’s going to be 7.5 or older, I’ve had this buck on camera I believe for 4 or 5 years, he has a head like a beef cow and is the biggest bodied whitetail I’ve ever shot, he’s a good 12-18” longer than the 165” deer I killed a couple of years ago that weighed 193 lbs.

Lots of snow! Never watched your channel. So I am looking forward to the release! Congrats on a fantastic buck!

192 lbs dressed … I hope you have some form of mechanical means to get him out. There’s no way I’d want to drag him out LOL. In all seriousness, congrats on a dandy.

That's another great buck Jon. Congrats! Looks like he's been runnin hard. Bet he would have gone 220 a couple of weeks ago. Looking forward to another video. Last one was kinda short. lol.
You have a good eye, he is run down, my brother just left my house and said the exact same thing, you can see every bone in his spine, and I couldn’t agree more that video was too short, have no fear :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy: this one won’t be!!!!! Thanks!!!!

So cool.
I hunt big woods up here, and have had the privilege of tracking through the snow like that - always a great hunting experience. Now, what you bushwhacked at the end of that trail is something else... Just awesome. Cant wait to see the video.

Awesome work!

I'm going to have to give this a go (snow tracking) where I rifle hunt in WV in the higher elevations that hold snow. I might have to reach out and pick your brain! The bucks are few and far between on public land there, but when you see one....they are as the locals say "powerful bucks".

After things settle down in a few days, if you want I can start a thread and if you or anyone has any questions on tracking if I can I’d be glad to help! Tracking in low density areas like you’re describing is a lot easier for sure, and if nothing else you learn a lot about specific bucks!
