Here are the standings as the contest begins. Since some of you guys get early starts there are a few pre-registered deer. These include an beautiful velvet 8 point by @Rutman (Team 2) a monster 13 pointer by @Seekbigger (Team 1) and does from @Bowhunter05 (Team 7), @redsquirrel (Team 8) and @ScottL (Team 3). Way to kick us off guys!

As with last year I'm going to try to post standings updates early in the week. Don't hold me too accountable though, it kind of depends on where I am and how the internet service is. :tearsofjoy:

Two deer were posted to the submission thread since the last update. Does by @bigcat93 (Team 4) and @thedutchtouch (Team 2). Congrats Guys! That means most all of the teams are on the board and there's an early tie for first place between Teams 1 and 2.

Its a big move by Team 4 this week now holding a 1 point lead over second place Team 2 and a tie for third between Teams 1 and 8. Notable deer this week include a nice 8 point from our fearless leader @redsquirrel (Team 8) and beautiful dark racked 9 point from @Mrdude (Team 4) as well as does from @Blacksmith (Team 6), @Chimney7 (Team 3), @BTaylor (Team 4) and @Dcomer55 (Team 2). Some good early season work guys. FWIW my season hasn't even started and @redsquirrel is already working on his upgrade buck . . . o_O For those of us who start this week, best of luck out there guys! Stay safe!

I've been a little under the weather the last few days so I'm a bit late with the update. I'm feeling a good bit better so its time to head back to camp and I thought I'd get this update out while I have internet. Its been a pretty slow start to the season. I can't speak for everywhere but its been unseasonably warm here up to this week. Hopefully a cool down turns the deer movement on. Only four submissions last week, all antlerless. Those were by @Shapeshifter (Team 6), @Hutchison44 (Team 8), @bowhunthard88 (also Team 6) and @slonstdy (Team 4).

That puts Team 4 currently in the lead with 29 points. Teams 8 and 2 share second with 23 points and Team 1 carries third with 18 points. Hopefully the hunting picks up soon here guys. Good Luck and Stay Safe!

Things are picking up. There were nine deer submitted last week moving Team 2 into second place over Team 8 with Team 4 still maintaining the lead. Notables of the week include a 10 point by @Jefferson10940 (Team 4), 8 points by @HaunSolo (Team 7) and @vtbowhunt (Team 2) as well as a 6 point by @Rutman (Team 2). Does were also submitted by @Chad8489 (Team 8), @NimbleTimbo (Team 6), @mybow (Team 7), @slonstdy (Team 4) and @D.F.A (Team 1). Congrats guys!

Here's this weeks updated standings. Team 4 remains in first place with Team 2 moving to close the gap on a doe by @LongRange101. Team 7 has moved into third this week (GO TEAM 7) with a forky from @Exhumis. Other submissions this week include a second doe from @Shapeshifter (Team 6) and a beautiful 10 pointer from @Chimney7 (Team 3). Congrats guys! You guys have been busy this week. There were 14 deer submitted since the last update. At one point during the week Team 2 held the lead briefly but as if they knew the lead was being threatened Team 4 came back with a vengeance. They now lead by 22 points over a second place tie between Teams 2 and 3. Also Team 5 finally got on the board so we're all at it now.

Highlights for the week include beautiful 10 pointers taken by @VASteve (Team 3) and @Jpdarby2 (Team 4), a big 9 pointer from @Dsabhunt (Team 6) and 8 pointers from @dalton916 (Team 4) and @phatkaw (Team 7). Congrats to the rest of you successful guys but the list is too long to compile this week. Keep after it guys, rut is on its way. Stay safe out there!

Updating on Sunday this week since I'm home for a night and have internet. Team 4 is still maintaining the lead over Team 2 with Team 7 overtaking third (Go Team 7!) Big mover for the week was Team 5, who after a super slow start have been piling on the points this week. The Team 5 move was powered by a doe and a beautiful 9 point from @onestringer, a 6 pointer from @NEhuntr , and a 7 pointer from @OspreyZB . Team 7's move to third was done with a nice 8 pointer from @HaunSolo and a monster 10 pointer @shmelton. Team 8 scored a couple of bucks this week, an 7 pointer by @Bigterp (his first with trad equipment) and, although not an upgrade in points it certainly is a bigger buck, an 8 point from @redsquirrel. Team 2 inched closer to Team 4 and the lead on the basis of a nice 9 point from @Dcomer55 and an upgrade 11 pointer from @Rutman. Another notable was the ear to ear grin from @gcr0003 over his beautiful Alabama 8 point. Congrats guys! There were some beautiful bucks submitted this week. Let's keep it rolling as rut is kicking in for most of the northern half of the country. Stay safe out there!

All right @thedutchtouch here are the current standings. You can still pass a hat if you want to though. :tearsofjoy: My apologies on the delay between updates but I spent a solid two weeks at camp with limited connectivity and when I did get home the wife had quite the list of tasks that needed to be attended to.

At this point Team 4 still holds a very slight lead over Team 2. The big news at this update is Team 5's meteoric rise from last to third. Good job Team 5!

There's been 25 submittals since the last update so I can only hit the highlights here. Bucks submitted included 8 points from @D.F.A (Team 1), @redsquirrel (Team 8, his third 8 point), @BTaylor (Team 4), @Just_Hangin_N_GA (Team 1) and @NimbleTimbo (Team 6). @thedutchtouch (Team 2) posted a 9 point and @Samcirrus (Team 5) posted a 10 point. The big buck of the scoring period was a 12 point taken by @BlessdHuntr (Team2). Congratulations guys!

I somehow also missed my fellow moderator @Jefferson10940's two10 pointers, one submitted in this update and one from post 27. Sorry Jeff, no clue how that happened but I sincerely apologize!

Okay, its official, we now know who the real "rut killers" are in this years contest. Team 5 has taken over the lead this week. That's right, this is the same Team 5 that still hadn't even submitted a single entry on Oct 21 and was still firmly buried in last place by 18 points on Oct 27th. They've completed the meteoric climb to first place in less than a month after spotting Team 4 a massive 72 point head start. Amazing comeback guys! Congratulations! For the rest of us the task at hand is clear . . . take them out! :tearsofjoy:

Team 2 has retained second place with Team 4 dropping to third this week. That said, its still anybody's season to win as the scores are still pretty close and there's a lot of season left. Get out and catch those post rut bucks trying to put some weight back on or catch them unaware hitting the second rut cycle.

Notables this week: An 8 pointer by @Publiclandowner (Team 5), a ten pointer submitted by @Glenn (Team 7 :hearteyes:), @dalton916 (Team 4) dropped his second 8 pointer of the season and last but certainly not least, a super 13 pointer from @sdorton (Team 5).

Well its officially December so I'm gonna call it late season and I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. Currently Team 4 has retaken the lead over second place Team 5 while Team 2 is holding a comfortable third place position at this point.

Several guys had Thanksgiving day success including nice 8 pointers by @philsanchez76 (Team 1) and @Antirain (Team 4) and a doe by @Glenn (Team 7 :hearteyes:). Other deer taken this week include a beautiful 9 point by @GCTerpfan (Team 8) along with does by @ScottL (Team 3) and @elk yinzer (Team 6).

Get out and enjoy the late season guys (my favorite time of year) and stay safe out there!

I forgot to post an update last week. I planned on doing it when I got back from my evening hunt Monday and just completely had senior moment. At any rate, the update this week hasn't changed from last week, no deer were submitted this week.

Team 4 still holds a slight grip on first place. Team 2 has climbed back to second place bumping Team 5 back to third. There were 6 deer submitted two weeks ago including a couple nice late season bucks. @LongRange101 (Team 2) posted a beautiful 10 point to move them into the lead briefly before @slonstdy (Team 4) countered with an 8 point of his own. Antlerless deer were posted by @mybow (Team 7 :hearteyes:), @MattMan81 (Team 1), @Bigterp (Team 8) and a small spike but tagged as a doe by @elk yinzer (Team 6). Congrats on the late season success guys! For those of you still hunting, stay warm and safe out there! Good Luck!

And the rich get richer . . . Team 4 has increased their lead this week based on a beautiful late season 8 point from @Chrighton. The only other deer posted this week was a doe submitted by @NMSbowhunter (Team 5). Congrats Guys!

First update of the New Year. I hope you all had a Great Christmas and New Years.

Since the last update Team 4 has increased their lead by 10 points on a doe taken by @woodsdog2 and a 6 point second buck from @Chrighton that he took on New Years eve. Team 5 has moved into second place with @EricS's New Year's Day double on does. The only other post this week was a doe from @Pyronole (Team 1).

For those of you with seasons remaining go get 'em. Hopefully you guys in the south are still getting (or just getting into) some rut action. The rest of us can only sit and live precariously through your hunts. Good Luck and be safe!

Okay, I haven't posted an update for almost a month but in my defense there have only been 3 deer posted in that time and the standings haven't changed until today. Those submittals are a doe for @gcr0003 (Team 1) and two does for @swing n fling (Team 8). Those 2 does move the winning team, Team 8 (see Rule #8), into seventh place with a little less than two weeks to go. :tearsofjoy:
