2025 Getting/Staying In Shape Motivation Thread

Decided to start running 5/3/1 big but boring. Template is:
5/3/1 main lift
5x10 main lift @ 40-70% of max
5x10 assistance
abs

Yesterday was bench press. Topped at 210x9 then dropped down to 160 -135. Didn’t get 10 reps on each set, my arms were shaking my end lol. I am sore today
 
4.2 miles. 10:45 pace, 161 heart rate. Now I gotta go take a vitamin C packet and decide if I'm taking dayquil or a toddy for this cough and post-nasal drip.

Make yourself a stiff screwdriver. The vodka numbs the symptoms and the orange juice gives you the vitamin C you need. ;)
 
Woke up at 2am and couldn’t get back to sleep…took it as a sign to get a run in.

10 minute warmup on the stationary bike.
Ran 8.31 miles in 1:14:02, 8:55/mi pace with a 148 average HR.

Well, I’m sitting here debating if I want to skip my morning workout but I guess I can’t now knowing you ran 8 miles at 2 am. Time to go pick up some heavy stuff.
 
Did biceps and back yesterday with a 15 HIIT ride after. Today I may just do an easy low impact ride for 45 min. Trying to kick this sinus infection that's destroying my will to push through a hard workout.
Way to go man, I know it sucks being sick. Listen to your body, it doesn’t lie and it knows when it needs rest.
 
Pavement run: 10.52 miles in 1:30:38 at a 8:37 pace and an average HR of 148bpm.

Woke up at 2 am again and just couldn’t get back to sleep, so why not run, lol.
This run took all I had and can tell the lack of sleep is getting to me.
