I have no idea if the terrain is the same as ours but around here and in my experience they are loud and they stink and they have bad eyesight. Move slow thru a bottom/drainage/ditch/creek listening, looking for fresh root/wallow, fresh mud on trees where they scratch/rub. I normally hear them before anything else. If an area stinks like pig u need to be paying extra close attention. Sounders of pigs make a bunch of noise moving thru the forest and big loan boars seem to sneak like cat on tiptoe. U can set up on pig trails but they are low odds. Hunting them not much different than deer

Great to see some youth taking part in the outdoors!!
Great looking pigs.
Can not wait to be a resident of Florida.

Here is my last victim sorry i forgot to post 2 others but here is one from last night. 80ish lb sow

I have some on camera this week. Went out with my bow yesterday but nothing stirred.

I’m after a large boar that will probably weigh 200-225 pounds.

Well, no pics, no meat. Hit one about 8 pm. Tuesday with the bow. Complete pass-through, no guts. Must have hit brisket or above the spine. Never could find the hog. Didn't see any other hogs after that. Full moon wasn't helping us. Did have a great time though, and thinking about making it a yearly hunting trip, unless we find somewhere else we like better. Great Southern Outdoors Wildlife Plantation is where we went. Great people and a great experience.

Busted up a small sounder last night. Dropped big momma first, tagged the little one, got ran over by the small black one. Proceeded to point shoot him by the outline of his body in the dark 4' from me. Then tagged two more before they slipped onto the public adjacent to dad's property.
10.5" 300bo suppressed with AAC sabre black tip (v-max) 110 gr. These seem to be a great load on hogs. The vmax isn't opening up like it does in super hot Caliber like a 223 or 243. Almost controlled expansion. Big momma was quarter to, no exit. The other two were pass through with good, larger than entry, exit holes.

Been munching on pecans, red oaks, wheat, and probibly my hay for the last month. I'm sure there's a few corn feeders near by as well. I had em dead to rights a couple weeks back but they wouldn't cross off the neighbors back to me. He wouldn't care if I killed em but I'm not loosing my equipment to the game warden

Momma was 125ish, black piglet 50, brown 30ish.
