Getting close to seasons starting. When are you getting the teams together this year?
P.S- I know this gets asked every year, just thought I’d get it out of the way!

Soon……. Hang in there. We open Friday here in MD I like to have one one the board as teams are drawn up & it works out that way a lot. Usually signup is 2-3 days in the first 2 weeks of September.

As @Bigterp said, signup should be going up soon. Last year we posted the signup thread on the 4th so I would expect we'll be about there give or take a couple of days. Official team selection generally happens the 3rd week of September but for those of you with early starting seasons don't forget to get pictures of that early deer with the saddle in it so it can be posted to the contest. As always early deer will be counted and the submission thread should go up shortly after the sign up thread.

For you new members, the annual hunting contest is a tradition here. Its a "for fun only" contest that brings members from across the country together on teams to share each others seasons, successes and everything else involved. The best description I've heard is its akin to sharing a deer camp with a bunch of guys from across the country who you've never met. You need to be a supporting member to be eligible to join but I think a lot of the guys here will attest to the camaraderie of the contest.

Here's a link to last years rules (I doubt there will be much change at this point) that you can peruse if you're thinking about taking part. We'd like to see as many guys sign up as possible. Thanks for your interest.
