Likely because it's from a university study/scientific paper and base 10 metric measurements are easier to work with/quantify/compare than our weird non metric measuring system.

Centimeters/meters/kilometers do just make a lot more sense than inches/feet/miles

Haha, definitely not! Im from MD, but i went on trip to Maine. Up by Canadian border. Spent 4 days looking for those things. Harder to find then you would think.

Well I got him boiled out today. He won't be snow white but I've been wanting to highlight one w/a torch. May try that!
