2026 Draws

Looks like Missouri is changing a lot of there nonresident stuff. By 2027 your looking at $500-600 for a whitetail tag. Seems high but maybe it is on par with other states like Iowa or Illinois.

That sucks. Been sorta waffling on if I would go back this year. Guess I better before they go up.

I don't think so. But our resident hunting base has been split on its desires - some want more opportunity and some want better trophy class. I think this is MDC's attempt to appease both by limiting NR.

Also, I think the tag increase is just based on the market. Arkansas charges $450 for Non resident, KS & IA are both well above that I believe.

I wasn’t sure. If I dug in I’m sure it is competitive. That doesn’t include the fact your going to pay Iowa $65 + a year for 4-6 years to get the privilege to pay them for the tag.

Becoming a rich man’s pursuit. Are they raising other recreational use fees for non residents too? Of course my daughter lives in MO and she is expecting so we will certainly be spending more time there most likely now and of course they raise the NR fees…..

Gentlemen I propose an amendment to the rule of 'No births, weddings, or any major events during hunting season'. If your children move out of states, they are ENCOURAGE to have kids during their states' hunting season. So you get to go spend time with the newborn AND sneak a few hours into the woods. Your spouse wouldn't care because they get more time with the newborn. Everybody wins.

I don't think there's any substantial changes to the fishing license structure for NR.

Same situation that you're seeing across the entire country. Out of state hunting has gotten more popular, hunters complain that their state is getting to crowded, states rase fees and/or limit tags to try and curb that. Ironically, I think a lot of the hunters who complain about their state being overcrowded tend to also complain when other states limit NR opportunities. To be clear, I'm not saying that about @woodsdog2. I'm just speaking in general terms of what I have observed.

I got nothing - again. But that's what I expected. Only applying in OK, and only on deer hunts that have pretty low odds, and for the bull only elk tags.
