This weekend is the opening weekend for gun season. At the end of last season I bought a CVA scout 350 legend and topped it with a Leupold CDS 3x9 scope. When I say this thing is a tack driver, I'm not exaggerating. I figured out that the gun loves the 180 grain bullets from winchester...three rounds in the bullseye at 100 yards. I had a nice 8 point buck that came in behind me...I was able to turn around but he must have caught me turning and he turned around. I grunted at him and brought him back to about 60 yards. I put the scope on him and fired...the 180 grain bullet hit him in the shoulder...took out his lungs and exited the other shoulder. The buck didn't make it 20 yards before crashing in the creek. Awesome setup.
