A decent buck for my area

I hunt public land in wilkes county plenty of nice deer around. The NC fwc website has a great interactive map for public land. That is a great buck btw

I have a friend who has hunted Thurmond and has seen nice bucks there. I saw a picture of a 140’s class killed in Wilkes this deer season. I am thinking very seriously on buying a Virginia license this year and hunting the public land there since I can be there in less than 20 minutes.

VA has a good amount of deer, the daniel boone national forest in kentucky has alot of deer and alot of bucks its only a few hours from west nc
 
I want to get up there in wilkes county gameland this year. thinking about doing some scouting up there real soon.

Do it sooner than later. They close a lot of the game land during the summer from vehicles so you have to walk a few miles to even get to the spot you park in hunting season. And it’s not flat
